Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

What do you teach?. I always thought you were an artist but there can't be much demand for that over there is there?. Is painting just a retirement hobby?
I’ve been a painter for 20 years
I’ve been in corporate training a long time
I retired to build guitars … the painting is like breathingI just do it whatever else is going on ….
I was invited to a bank to talk cyber security and technology to a group of interns …. I once taught a similar group and was invited back … reputation and trust are huge in the Arab banking world …. I though about not going …. But I enjoy the people and the place and the money for a few weeks it doubles my annual pensions

Bit jaded mate. You don't know the half of it. I'll explain a bit later.
Over the past few days I have developed a dental abscess in my upper jaw. it is a recurring one that's manifested about 3/4 times before so I know exactly what it is. It's very painful, like a combination of a bad headache and bad toothache, and a couple of paracetamol i took before going to bed last night didn't even touch the sides. What little relief I got only lasted about 30 minutes at most. I haven't slept well the last 2 nights, about 4 hours on Friday and about 6 last night, and I'm used to getting a good 8 hours in normally. Luckily this morning I found some respite lying on my right hand side so I'll try that when I go to bed tonight. I've completely lost my appetite too. I didn't have anything for tea last night, and even this morning after my lie in I wasn't feeling hungry and had to force down a pastry for late breakfast. It seems my body is incapable of both fighting pain and telling me when I'm hungry at the same time. Well I am a man so I suppose that's to be expected. lol

Normally this is something I would go to the dentist with but the problem down here is that I'm not registered with one. It's literally impossible to find an NHS dental practice down here. So I'm hoping my GP will be able to sort me out with some antibiotics and some stronger painkillers that will take the edge off whilst the antibiotics kick in. They normally take about 2/3 days to start working and I'm hoping I can get it sorted before my birthday next weekend. Hopefully I can arrange everything with a phone consultation in the morning.

I'll tell you something though. It's given me the utmost respect and empathy for T who has to cope with these levels of pain on a daily basis.

That’s rubbish, hope you are able to get it sorted soon.

Oh that's not good. Hope you get sorted in the morning.

She called out Raf and tickled Andy, which aren't good ideas.
I think there was a communication issue with calling someone a donkey being very insulting in Columbia. One of the challenges of having a fans from far a field is the differences in social norms, language etc as we saw play out with this.

All of that aside, doesn't it feel liberating to have finally got shut of Benitez. There has been a toxic whiff about the club these last few months and yesterday felt like a breath of fresh air.

Aye, I read that and a small thing became a mountain with slurs being thrown, which was pretty. She’d be surprised with the amount of “eeyores” you hear.

Yes that was my understanding of it too. A cultural misunderstanding in the Yerry Mina thread that got out of hand.
Couldn't agree more. Totally different vibe from everyone. Even just watching it at home it seemed different. Long may it continue.

Let us hope one of the leading lights on this thread comes back with the news that she got the job .Cultural differences must be so hard to deal with ,firstly how would a mod realise ? One thing I know about this site is that the standards are high and despite my brushes ( yes plural) with the mods I stay on here .I am not one who sidles up to authority but it is something we all know is the best way to behave .
I find this particular thread so inspiring just because certain modes of conduct have been followed and we are all quick to point it out to a "newcomer" . Thankfully all who have been told have listened and that I find refreshing on this anonymous internet .
Long may that continue .

I’ve got some antibiotics if you need them mate.
My dentist gave me extra in case I needed them when I had issues. Post them to you if you want ?
Read the instructions and don’t poison yourself like..
