Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I'm getting little "messages" constantly Roydo. I know I'm probably just looking for them but still. Here's one example of many. Cal and I always used to joke about a missing sock when she's done the washing. Well I was doing a light wash and had a missing white sock. Looked everywhere for it, and had the laundry basket turned inside out. Anyway I did the wash with the odd sock and put it away in the drawer. A week later I'm doing a normal wash and empty the laundry basket again, and there at the bottom is the missing white sock. I swear it wasn't there the previous week. Another time I came downstairs in the morning and found the cushions on the two settees had been swapped around overnight.

White sock. Not a blue one, or a black one. But a white sock.

Like white feathers. Not black or brown ones. Always white.

The only pendant I bought Nik was long lost. It was very delicate, and we assumed it had become detatched in hospital. A few weeks ago it was on her bedside table, (the first place you would look).

Glad it's not just me then mate. ;)

I went to a clairvoyant on Edge Lane once. An Argentinian woman who was about 4 foot tall and had hair down to her ankles It was the Thursday before Easter and I had just broken up with a guy I had been seeing. Kopite - it would never have worked. Anyway I was completely off men after that experience. He looked like Gerry Adams. anyway the first thing the clairvoyant said to me and my mate was "Oh good, I can read you both today. Some days people come and I say I can't read them. come another time. But they never come back because they are dead" Flippin' eck we thought.
Anyway when it came to my turn, she grabbed my hand an shrieked "You must say yes! YOU MUST SAY YES! he is your darling. YOU MUST SAY YES! Not this Saturday, it is Easter. But the next Saturday. YOU MUST SAY YES. He is your darling. You will be married by the end of the year."
On the day she specified I went to a joint stag and hen do in Dewsbury, met Mr F and we got married 6 months later.
How did she know? That was 30 years ago!
And you still hold it against her lol

I agree with many other posters that there must be something in these stories .Not spooky but I met my wife in Spain ,I was with a friend who had another woman ,he went out for the evening with her so I went to the bar he told me not to visit and met my wife .
When I was 7 years old I had to go in hospital and during my stay there was a nurse who told me that she had visited a village in Austria but although she had never been and of course there was no interweb then ,she knew that around the next corner was a chemist shop and there it was !
Of course these things can be explained rationally E.G. The nurse might have been to every other road in the village and realised that it was the last possibility .I might have met my wife in the next bar I went .we may never know but they are called strange for a reason.

There's a programme on now about dairy farming which won't be good viewing. I'm not watching it but I saw a bit earlier on the news and it showed a farmhand belting a cow over the head with spade. It wasn't an overly violent blow, it looked like he was using the spade to control the cows movements rather than do it damage, but it still looked absolutely awful.

You like to believe that the farming standards in this country are a cut above, and I'm sure to a large degree they are. But you will always get rogue workers and sadly some rogue farmers too.
Did you know, the reason a bull has a nose ring is for control, that's how they lead them because if they don't it's very painful, we are very barbaric in the way we produce meat.

Morning all, hope everyone is well. Clouded over now after a bright moonlit night and beautiful sunrise. Not much planned for today but then again I tend not to plan too far ahead and take each day as it comes .I don’t even like booking holidays. Hope all is well with everyone. Is your endoscopy today @Methuselah if so I hope it goes well and sending my thoughts and wishes to Mrs M?. Have a good day all.

Good morning all on this beautiful day I hope all had a good nights sleep and have a great day .The puzzle that is @Sassy Colombian ,I hope she is well and safe and pays a visit soon .It would be sad to lose her as she was one of the main posters on here and she is being missed for sure .
I am sure she would have a ghost story for us as well .
There are enough on here to keep it going as long as @anjelikaferrett gets her act together with her phone .I bought some corded material yesterday as the wife has volunteered me for recovering her parents handed down dining chairs .I love a challenge but it is best if it isn't so precious and if I fail it can go into the bin but a heirloom is a big responsibility. They are part of a suite consisting of a tallboy ,two sideboards a table and eight chairs ( two carvers ) and I don't want to spoil them.

Endoscopy not booked yet, got to talk to the Doc.

Morning all, welcome to another day in the madhouse ?

Didn’t sleep well last night and my mind did wander to the paranormal which is never ideal for getting over.

One of those days I was glad to get up and get some air around me.

How are you today @Methuselah?
Not too bad. Son no.1 is down from Nottingham for a couple of days. He is a good cook so keeping us well fed.

Daughter no. 2 and son in law gave us their old fridge which is eye level. Our old one was too low, couldn't see or get into bottom shelves. They also stacked it out with about 6 months worth of stuff! Being really well looked after.
