Thanks for sharing with me the short version of Blackadder. While it may not do justice to the show, this summary is shorter than four pages, so something got it giveGood luck to anyone explaining that in less than 4 pages. Will give it a shot though.
Blackadder was a very very funny comedy that ran for circa 6 seasons. The premise was that the central character, Edmund Blackadder, was a desendent of the family, and each season was based in a particular historical period. The last, and best. one was WW1.
Captain Blackadder was shrewd, but based on the front line, and to try to get out of being there, he pretended to be mad, (it will all go away), by sticking knitting needles up his nose.
It was a pastiche on Catch 22.
edit. That really really does not give it any justice at all does it!!! Soz about me.
Yay for birthday celebration and gatherings with family and friends. It is nice having that normalcy back in our lives after being disrupted for so long by Covid. I sure hope we are really entering the endemic stages of this disease and things continue opening up.All good here, thank you! Been a bit of a manic few weeks with birthday celebrations and all that stuff. Had some friends round the weekend just gone that I hadn’t seen in a while so that was another heavy one.
Having 4 weeks off the booze now and going to hit training harder so I can have another jump in progress before it’s time for the missus’s birthday and then Easter/Grand National weekend.
Signed up for Tough Mudder 10k (Google it…) in September so got a LOT of work to put in if I’m going to get through it in one piece.
I watched a clip on YouTube and it is indeed very good British humour, like other sitcoms with Rowan Atkinson. Mr. Bean was one I grew up watching in Colombia.I would put a clip of the scene up but you'd need to watch it in context of the series. It is one of the great British sitcoms and if you can get on to our sense of humour a must watch.
Here is a still of the scene.

That "consoling " has me worried for a man of your age !Hi Sassy, I'm positive in my outlook but unfortunately still testing positive now joined by Mrs LT on that front so we're consoling each other at the moment and concentrating on getting better, slight improvement again so we're moving in the right direction and refound my voice.
The problem for Sassy is that it has so many references to British history and politics and might go over her head ,she will still think it is funny though .Good luck to anyone explaining that in less than 4 pages. Will give it a shot though.

Spot on Sassy.Hey friends, I have not being able to go to sleep yet. Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is a sad day for the pursuit of world peace which we so badly needs. It makes me sad to think that many innocent people could die in the coming days just because of the ego of a man that wishes to conquer lands and rebuild an empire. I pray this doesn’t become a bigger world conflict ???
Morning T, hope you have a nice day ahead of you mate.Morning all, thankyou for your kind messages yesterday.
No wind or rain today for a change fingers crossed stays that way.
Morning mate, I'll be walking the dog and the rest of the time just trying to be comfortable. Might do a bit of gaming.Morning T, hope you have a nice day ahead of you mate.
I have woken to a snowfall and a strong pot of tea.
It’s very stressful to think of those poor people in Ukraine and how little help will be given to them.Morning everyone.
I hope that you are all well and that @larbert toffee and Mrs L T are making a good recovery from covid.
We wake to terrible , terrible news from Ukraine. We can pray that this ends quickly and with minimal bloodhed but I don't think that those prayers will be answered.
Chucking it down here so my distraction from events in Eastern Europe will have to come from the gym rather than the garden.
I hope that you all have a good day.
