Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

@Bluetintedspecs how are you mate? I don't think I have seen you post since I have been back.
Morning lovelies,

Hey Sassy, great to have you back. We've missed you. I haven't posted this week as I've just been mad busy. Still am really and working today, too. I'm gonna try and have a bit of a thread catch up over the week-end.

Lovely and sunny here this morning but very cold, 5C at the moment. Had to de-ice the car this morning.

Hope you all have a good week-end and don't let the Blues spoil it. Also hope there's some kind of show of support, no matter how small, for the people of Ukraine at Goodison today.

Morning folks. Feel the need to log on pre work and add to the Blackadder discussion. It is a work of genius. The WW1 series is the best but I also love the Tudor one with Queenie. Both series made even better by the appearance of the much missed Rik Mayall as Lord Flasheart. Catch up with you all properly later
A couple of years ago, in my previous office, I walked into the office next to mine and a bloke (kopite) was showing off his new man bag. It wasn't a shoulder bag though, it was a small clutch bag. I said, in my best impression of Tom Baker's sea captain from Blackadder II, "You have a woman's purse," which went completely over his head, but his colleague had a good giggle. Encouraged by his colleague's response, I then followed that up with, "You have a woman's hands," and he looked at me like I was completely bonkers.

For anyone who has no idea what I'm prattling on about, here's the scene from Blackadder II.

Morning all on this bright and beautiful morning. Hope all are well. Grandchild no 3 is 9 today. Discussing the birthday cake I made she confided that when she blew the candles out she would make the same wish again. I’ll whisper it then you can make it too. ”I wish that Pat-a-cake would come back”. Nanny Pat-a-cake is my Mum who passed four years ago, I didn‘t know what to say, near broke my heart to tell her that her wish can’t come true. Don’t want to appear too negative on such a lovely day Everton will probably do that laterlol. I have tried and failed to post a gif in the past so you never know even I may master it soon. Safe journey @anjelikaferrett. I’m off to the birthday celebration this afternoon! Have a good day all.

They made that into a PC game, I have it, never played it though, might do now. I have only ever read one Ken Follet book, can't remember it's name.
He's a great story teller. I have 6 of his books. The pillars trilogy (the third set in Tudor times) and the Century trilogy set around the 2 world wars . Given your interest in the latter I reckon you would enjoy them T.

Surprised to see them make a game of Pillars. It's a bit slow paced for that. But I reckon if you read the book first you may enjoy the game more.

I've been trying to learn about Tudors and Stuarts as well so might have to look into it and maybe the game is informative. It's a point and click game so it will be slow paced and not action orientated . I just enjoy learning history these days.
