Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all, busy day yesterday, dismantled a greenhouse and shed at my mum in law's and took them to the tip in my old but trusty x trail, they had seen better days tbf and she now has so much space and doesn't have to worry about maintenance.
Having to get up early this morning since having new stairs fitted over the next couple of days, looking forward to getting through the mess and seeing the finished product.
Hope you guys and girls have a good day today and the sun shines for you.

Morning everyone ,

Like @anjelikaferrett I only bothered with 30 minutes last night. That was more than enough I'm afraid. I'd love to share Fred's optimism that our home games will keep us up but I'm far from convinced. Fervent support or not we can't go from being that abject , a team that throws the towel in when 1 goal goes in to winning games against in form teams like Wolves and Newcastle. I actually do think we will go down now and can't believe that I'm saying that.

Lovely day here today but my back is still playing me up so can't see me doing too much.

What with the war , energy prices and Everton there's not a lot to be happy about.

Morning all, lovely bright sunny morning here today. Mr. Gwladys decided to watch the Forest/Hudds cup tie last night so I watched us on the laptop. I turned off at half time and joined him. Wish our team showed half the spirit of that match, great to see two teams giving it a go. Starting to think we are down, still on the bright side there will be a few games which will be convenient for me and I stand a chance of getting a ticket. Hope your back is better soon @jazzy. Can’t sit here all day (I’ve already spent an hour doing puzzles) must get on - that washing won’t hang itself on the line.lol.Have a good day, all.

Keep the faith Jazz.

It isn't just our home form that gives me comfort. I also believe there are 4 or 5 worse teams than us in the league plus we have a 2 or 3 game cushion on most of them.

We are definitely in a battle though. No doubt about that.

Morning folks. Oh my goodness what a p*ss poor effort that was last night. Watched about half an hour of it. That was enough. Utterly shocking. Really worried now. In other news my son has asked for some Mont Blanc Red from duty free. Good job I asked him what it was. I thought it was wine - turns out it's aftershave!
I was wondering why he wanted red ink for his pen?

I had a Mont Blanc aftershave back in the day. It most definitely wasn't called Red though. Never..

Liked your post Jazzy but could easily have put sad, nothing worse than a bad back, hope that comes good quickly for you and youre right, so much bad news in the world.

So does this mean you only have access to the bottom of your house?

I’m sat with a pot of tea pondering how I would manage that.

Ponder no longer mate, the main staircase will be in place tonight in some shape or form, bannisters etc will be put in place tomorrow, the staircase itself was built in their workshop and is ready to slot in.

Do you need a lift?

Dear friends, what in the heck happened to Everton yesterday. As I mentioned I couldn’t watch the game and after a busy evening of grocery shopping after work I finally got to settle to watch, what I thought would be an exciting game, only to be disappointed after 16 minutes. Just like Jazzy said we just fell apart after the first goal because tbh I thought the first 14 minutes of the match we were play well. But then Tottenham scored the first goal and we just had a massive melt down. I stopped by watching after the third goal, I had already been down with everything that’s happening in Ukraine that I didn’t want to ruin the rest of my night.

Today I have been on campus the whole day because we are have professional development, so right now I’m taking a lunch break and enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. This weekend it is supposed to snow and we are going to experience again temperatures in the negative digits. There are so many flowers at the moment around the city that hopefully the cold weather doesn’t ruin them. Things are still going very well with my new job, every day as I become more aware of my tasks, the happier I am about having this new role. Life is definitely busier than a couple of weeks ago and what I miss the most is not having enough time to stop by the forum to chat more often, but otherwise everything else is working out very well. My husband is being very supportive and helpful, and my daughter has adapted to my new schedule well too. Life is good for me at the moment, but my heart still very heavy with all the suffering happening in Ukraine. One can only hope and pray the situation improves for those people soon ??

Have a good evening everyone, I’ll try to catch up again later tonight. Xxx
