Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I bought a £100 electric chainsaw today that cost me 8 English pounds.

It was reduced to £48, and I was given £40 of vouchers a while back, so super duper.

Garden Wars will commence. (When its not so effin cold and windy).
Now that is a proper bargain.

I invested in my first proper electric hedge trimmers in the first lockdown and now I couldn’t be without them. I was quite frankly an idiot to be using hard shears for so long.

If you haven't used one before look on you tube as they can be very dangerous ,never push it too hard as firstly at that price it won't take it and secondly and more importantly it is very unsafe if it snatches .Wear good strong boots as well

Chainsaws itself wouldn’t be for me but I can’t go too far wrong with hedge trimmers.

Depends what you are cutting I suppose.

Roydo, don't know why but that reminded me of a guy I used to work with back in the 1980's. He was a walking disaster. If you saw him walking with a drink in his hand you learned to run a mile. He would always manage to drop it or spill it. Anyway, one Friday he announced that he was hiring a chainsaw to prune his apple trees that week-end. On the Monday, everyone waited with bated breath to see if he would turn up. He didn't. Later in the day we found out that he fell out of the apple tree and broke his ankle. Fortunately, he managed to throw the chainsaw away on his way down to avoid even worse injuries.

Now that’s what I call a great bargain. I have to admit I love a good bargain too. I’m always delighted when I don’t have to pay full price for things

What are you going to be cutting with the chainsaw? I would be a danger if I had one of those ?

Morning all. Bright and sunny here today but cold wind is blowing but maybe that’s just my expectations of the rest of the seasonlol. Have just spent 45minutes solving Quordle and am now a bit behind hand as I’m supposed to be going out in half an hour. Have a good day all and to those in pain or with worries hope they are eased today.

Weathers the same here mate. And not forecast to change over the next few days.

I enjoyed The Responder but mainly because the acting was good and that it showcased quite a few scouse actors, including a few unknowns. I also thought the plot was a bit ropey and the ending had that many holes it was like a tea strainer. But it was still an enjoyable watch.
