Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I had a fantastic day.

This morning went to Armagh City for the first parades on 3 years. Lots of Ukraine flags.

Armagh has an established migrant community that we are embracing. These boys and girls need a club to represent and my volunteer job is to make everyone welcome at our grounds.

Our outreach program at the schools is to encourage kids to give us a try. A new sport for but most importantly a community behind them.

As we tell parents, football may not be your child’s sport going forward but they will be better people from our coaching.
Sounds like you had a lovely time at the parade and it is meaningful that so many people are thinking of the Ukrainian people. Your outreach program for immigrant kids sounds very supportive and one that this community is fortunate to have and have you volunteering for it

Happy Friday (well no quite for me, but for it'll be for you all by the time you read this post.)

Late night for me, but I couldn't resist catching up to this thread. I'm still feeling joyous after tonight's win. It was a nerve wracking match, we didn't play great but we didn't gave up and kept our composure after Allan's red card. Such determination, along with a bit of St. Patrick's luck got us the 3 points. Hopefully this win will give the players the confidence to continue improving and fight their hardest on Sunday so we move forward and hopefully win the Cup.

Have a beautiful morning everyone, at least Everton began our weekends in a positive way.

Xxx

Aye, they did have an edge to them. But loved them nevertheless. Never knew what the flavour was for the black/brown ones.
Do you remember they had a competion to win a holiday if you could name the mystery -almost transparent white one -it was obviously a tropical fruit ,before we all had chance to travel .Ever since when I have been abroad I still try to identify it .

OK , so to try and keep active and my mind off recent events I decided to start the spring clean.

Whilst I listened to Ben Stokes thrashing the Windies to all parts of Bridgetown I was washing the windows and woodwork upstairs. Mrs J very down and didn't want to do anything .

Well I usually wash the windows inside every couple of months or so but not the window frames which were absolutely filthy.

I will have a go downstairs next week.

Despite our sadness me and Mrs J will have to put on our best happy Del Trotter faces on Saturday when we do a stall at Ormskirk market for the animal rescue. Fortunately the weather forecast is really good so we hope to have a profitable day and make loads of money for the animals. It's hard work and I hope my back is up to it but in the past ( not done it for a while due to covid ) we've been very successful. Wish us luck !

Have a great evening tonight , I think it's a must win game .
It could be just what mrs J needs ,I hope so .Good luck tomorrow.

Good morning all mascoteers on this enlightened day ,it cannot be right to be so affected by what a team with very little true connection to our cause does to us .
It was as good a win as possible yesterday ,down to ten men I thought this is it ,I also had been thinking that this was the point of no return.
Lose that and no way to stop the slide ,as usual we are all up again with a smile .
I hope all had a good night's sleep and have a great day .
