Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yay, may the love only grows between all of them.

Romania. What’s she doing all the way in the UK? She a cute puppy, how much bigger would she get?
She will be about Tintins size. Fairly big.

There is a chronic problem with strays in Romania and Bulgaria and the rescue help and take some from a tiny littel sanctuary when they have room.

Last year we ( me and Mrs J ) paid to bring 3 over.

The journey over is by road and takes 3 days , usually about £400 per dog. It gives them a chance of a life they wouldn't have over there. She only arrived on Friday.

Already she is inquisitive but very calm.

Good thing you have the space for big dogs. I bet they appreciate it.

How generous and noble of you and Mrs. J to help these dogs make a journey to a new country and a new life.

She is adorable. That second pic that you posted shows her sweetness too.

First mow of the front lawn/meadow earlier. Cos of where it is, from September to now, it gets hardly any direct sun, so gets wet, stays wet. And cos it is an actual ancient meadow, it aint a domestic lawn. Could graze cows on it. So quite a challenge.

Petrol mower started fine, (phew), and job done. Always used to tell Nik after I had done it "Thats 5 grand on the house price!".

Will sleep well tonight mind.

What do you mean that is an ancient meadow?

Mulch or collect Roydo?

Our cottage was built on ancient farmland after WW2, to house blokes returning from war to get the farms going better. So the farmer built it on the farmland. Cows and sheep graze on the rest of the meadow/field over the back fence.
Front is just meadow grass, back is mainly an orchard, planted at the same time the place was built.
