@jazzy your garden is gorgeous. @Terrarian I reckon all the Insta people have been reading this thread and have seen what a star Daisy is! Seriously though, don't blame your caution.

Gorgeous, daffodils are my favourite flower.@blue1948 despite living in the frozen North our daffodils are putting on a decent show.
Here are some in our Arboretum. I only planted the trees 18 months ago and it will be 5 years before we see anything worthwhile ( although you can see a pink magnolia I the foreground).
However to give some interest in the meanwhile I planted over 5000 bulbs ( no wonder my back is knackered) and here are some of the daffodils.
We've had snowdrops and crocuses.
Tulips are next then camasias
I think scarf and tail might be legit but the other asking for money straight away was a red flag so I'm just not bothering, I can live without Daisy wearing a scarf lol@jazzy your garden is gorgeous. @Terrarian I reckon all the Insta people have been reading this thread and have seen what a star Daisy is! I was talking on FaceTime to granddughter who was going to gymnastics class, next thing I get emails from companies suggesting leotards etc. WTF! , tinfoil hat time.?Not convinced on the second one though, I'm not replying to either, not comfortable giving out my details online. Seems to be all cats as well hmmm?
Done research and convinced the second one is a scam, says they'll send products if I cover shipping, which would entail me giving my card details so I've told them to jog on and removed them.
Happy Birthday Brian. Didn't realise you were that old although you've probably told me. Sounds like you had a good one. What a day - night I’m getting old
That's fantastic mate. Next time I'm up I'd like to come and visit you and see your garden first hand.@blue1948 despite living in the frozen North our daffodils are putting on a decent show.

I absolutely love old churches and cathedrals. Fantastic buildings. Spoilt down here there are so many and in the most fantastic locations.Afternoon all, hope you are all well and enjoying another day of stunning Spring weather. Had a trip into town this morning and went for a coffee in the Cathedral Precincts, so peaceful there, hard to imagine you are just a few feet away from the city centre. Not a bad view either.View attachment 160064

The DBB/ Rhino rumour is fascinating but no I've not heard it.It's a beautiful day down here, and warmer than it has been. So I decided to make a vigil this morning to Bosloe House, one of the NT properties Cal worked at and also where the stores were. It's about a mile and a half away and the plan was to pick up a pasty from the local store on the way, and after visiting Bosloe, I would continue down to Durgan village and have lunch siting on the beach. Sadly the shop was out of pasties and sausage rolls so I had no lunch, so I still went to Bosloe but then came back home for lunch. I was going to take a few photo's when I was down there as the garden is absolutely amazing, but it isn't quite in bloom yet so I'll leave that for another day. I have taken a couple of shots of views along the walk which I'll hopefully post later. I had a new SIM sent to me which I installed yesterday, but I think there may be a problem uploading pictures. I'll find out later.
Anyway, I'm coping better than I expected today. Things are definitely getting easier and I'm hurting less as time goes by. I took the opportunity to phone one of my good mates when I was out and had a chat about Cheltenham and all things Everton. He said the rumour going around up there is that DBB is having an affair with Unsworth. Not sure if anybody else has heard that. Not that I'm one to gossip mind you.![]()
Mate,, in February last year I woke and had very weird thoughts. I later found that a former work colleague and soccer team mate had committed suicide around that time. It's the 6 month anniversary of Cal passing today. It seems to have gone so quickly.
Something weird happened last night. I woke up during the night and needed to spend a penny. That isn't unusual at my age, but what was unusual is that I was "ping" completely awake. Normally I'm still half asleep and get back into bed and am away with the fairies within seconds. But I'm totally wide awake. So I get my phone out to play my word game that I'm semi addicted too in the hope I start feeling tired again. I'd only had about 4 hours sleep. Anyway I noticed the time was 4.34 am when I switched my phone on. After about 10 minutes it suddenly occurred to me that Cal was pronounced dead at 4.30am, which was about the time I woke up suddenly. Coincidence?
