Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I've booked to see Whitesnake in May (supported by Journey and Europe - it's gonna be great. Big hair and Spandex! :D :D) and thanks to @bigjonny I've got tickets to see Deaf School in November. However my first choice if I could pick anybody would be Bruce Springsteen with the E Street Band. Second choice would be Aerosmith - never seen them, would love to.
Never really got into the "stadium rock" scene Anj. Don't dislike it as such and have lots on my Ipod. Not sure why because I loved the old rock stuff like Black Sabbath, Deep purple, Thin Lizzy and Hawkwind and went to see all of them live back in the day. I mean, Deep Purple was such a talented band, but I see the likes of Rainbow and Whitesnake as watered down versions. More glam rock than rock. :p

Aerosmith played to a 2/3rds full Liverpool Empire late ‘76/early’77 then seemed to go quiet, next I heard they were massive.
I remember seeing Squeeze in the late 70s before they became a household name but after they had released the single Take me I'm Yours because I remember them playing it at the gig. Can't remember where it was but it was a club venue rather than a theatre, but I know it wasn't Eric's. Anyway, there couldn't have been more than a few dozen people there. They didn't have a large collection of own songs at the time and were playing a few covers. There were so few people there that they started taking requests. I asked for Stairway to heaven for some reason but in fairness they played it and it was brilliant. So was the whole gig actually. Great musicians.

I saw Squeeze at The Mountford Hall, bottom of the bill with Radiostars and Eddie and the Hotrods, great musicians as you say.

Take care out there.
Do you have a back up generator for when it gets really wild?
No .We had no electricity for 6 days from Christmas day a few years ago ! The secret is don't open any freezers .Luckily we had log fires and a wood fired sauna with a hot water boiler fired by wood ,we also had a chemical outside toilet , it was dark from 3.30pm to about 9am so it was an experience .
