Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

So Gordon Ramsey is out then ?
Ha ha. Afraid so. I rarely watch any of those type of programs now. Not food programs as such but ones where there is contestant participation, like Hells Kitchen. Funnily enough, said Godon Ramsey said one of my favourite ever one liners to Edwina Currie. He said you XXXXed the Prime Minister and now you're trying to XXXX me. lol She just stood there and took it on the chin, so to speak. Classic TV. But it's all a bit same old same old to me now. It's all been done before and just being repackaged over and over.

I remember seeing Squeeze in the late 70s before they became a household name but after they had released the single Take me I'm Yours because I remember them playing it at the gig. Can't remember where it was but it was a club venue rather than a theatre, but I know it wasn't Eric's. Anyway, there couldn't have been more than a few dozen people there. They didn't have a large collection of own songs at the time and were playing a few covers. There were so few people there that they started taking requests. I asked for Stairway to heaven for some reason but in fairness they played it and it was brilliant. So was the whole gig actually. Great musicians.
great band and Difford and Tillbrook are excellent songwriters

I posted this in another thread yesterday and why not post it again..

@Barnfred 55 First time I saw Squeeze was at Mountford Hall. They had just broke into the big time. They were brilliant. Have seen them a few times since then. Their songwriting is sublime. Up The Junction is one of my Top 10 songs. I love the big hair glam rock stuff. Pure cheese! Never really knew much about Deep Purple until.I watched something on Sky Documentaries about them. I was gobsmacked. What talented knowledgeable musicians.

I have a 3/4 wet suit. This time of the year without it be dangerous! The difference between the bits covered and not was noticeable !!
Fair enough at this time of year. As I said, it's too cold for me. I'll go in upto my knees at the moment and that's it. Temp is only about 11c, needs to be around 14c before I'm tempted in. You get loads down here sea swimming all year around.
