Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I caught the Nirvana protest at the end of that.

Never got TT at the time but now more appreciative. Having said that, it’s alright if they are on but I wouldn’t be hunting them out.
Yes I think exactly the same about them. How's the lad? Hope he's not as disappointed as he was earlier. I used to tell my kids you can't win everything but if you do your best nobody can ever criticise you - and then give the example of the Olympic athletes who might break their national records but still go out in the firts round.

He’s in great form. Had tears in his eyes at 11.30 then at 3 he was prepping for his French test on Monday with me. Bit of music on to try and make learning fun then we flicked on Hawkeye.

As his Dad, feel blessed to have shared this day with him as he hit every emotion and went to bed with a big smile ?

No. When I posted my recipe in Sassy's thread somebody said I should try chocolate and I will do one day. I just don't have any in the house at the mo. Chocolate is one of the things I've cut out of my diet. This will probably be my last chilli before the summer. It's a winter dish for me so I must remember to buy some dark chocolate for when I do my next one in the autumn.

Somebody else, think it might have been Anj, suggested eating it with piccalilli, so I might try some on the side of my plate later. I have a nice hot Cornish one in from Roskilly farm (the guys that make the best ice cream in Britain). ;)

Are you planning to visit your son this summer Blue?
Still no idea ,have I told you my grandson has noonan's syndrome ? Anyway it means I must get over as soon as because I don't feel good not visiting they also have two girls and as the youngest arrived this year I haven't seen her either .Writing this makes my want to go even more .

Good morning all beautiful bright and sunny day ,the sun is stillvery low and the shadows so long ,I find that quite beautiful ,some of the simple things nature offers that make us smile . I had an old friend many years ago and he was always looking at the flowers in our garden with a magnifying glass ,his favourite was the poached egg plant .
I hope all slept well and have a great day and we win .COYB

Aaaw. It is a blessing to share things with your children. As I mentioned I went for lunch with my adult daughter yesterday. I honestly feel blessed that she will ask me to go to places with her. Same with my son. They both seem to actually like to spend time with me and Mr F.

I really hope I share that bond with mine that you have with yours Anje.

Morning everyone. Absolutely lovely day here. It has even warmed up a bit which I will appreciate later when I man the gate at the Spring Dog Show. It's at Lydiate Village Hall starting at 1pm for anyone in the locality!

Mrs J just finishing off the food . Soup , more sandwiches than you can shake a stick at and baked potato skins - all good.

Just moved 12 bales of hay and straw so a cup of tea before I set off to help them set up.

I will miss the Everton game but will record it. If we don't lose by more than 3 goals I'll probably watch it tonight.

Have a great day everyone.
