Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on the murky day ,I really don't see the need for negativity on this thread ,please save that for the Everton one .
Just for the record anyone who is at ease with us being relegated is from another planet an therefore that is where they should be as it is foolish talk without thinking of the consequences .
I hope all slept fantastically and have a wonderful day including the ne'er sayers

Good morning guys.

Reading about all the animals has made my mind up what route we are going today, we'll; go see if the cows are out I think. I owe Daisy a walk been struggling with headaches all weekend and so didn't really go anywhere, I did set off yesterday but she was being a richard again and so I turned around and came home lol she isn't winning, I'm in charge lol

Some nice pics being posted, I will see If I can get some today of madam and her pals.

Actually it looks a bit wet so might go somewhere else and save the farm for a sunny day.

Morning all. I'm trying to stay optimistic about Everton. Burnley Brentford and Watford are the key matches. Must win. I'm a bit confused about Dele Alli. Either he isn't fit or Frank has found out that his attitude really does suck - as other managers have alluded to --and signing him has been a huge mistake. I'm loving the rescue animal stories. All our cats have been either rescues or strays that just moved in with us. I'm also enjoying the garden pics. Ours is still a post sheep work in progress but we are getting there.

Lovely news about your daughter @larbert toffee You must be so proud of her.

Nothing special going on today. 6 months to the cruise so gym tonight and tomorrow. The weight loss is slow but still heading in the right direction. The gym is massively helping. I'm definitely losing inches.

Have a lovely day all. Catch up later

Morning all, rain first thing this morning which is good because after the first rain since the water butt installation Mr G discovered that he had failed to check the tap and it was left in the open position . I had thought of a witty riposte but seeing the look on his face thought better of it.lol. Congratulations to @jazzy on the amount raised for the animals and also to @larbert toffee family, you should be rightly proud. Love all the pictures and animal stories, I have always fancied keeping a pig but in a small suburban garden it’s just not practical. Hope the headaches have cleared @Terrarian and you get some fresh air, will do you good, I haven’t forgotten about the GP. this week, make sure you mention your symptoms, we’re on your case;).Have a great day all.?

As with everything Blue not all is black and white, or in our case, blue and white. When people are referring to being at ease with relegation, I'm sure it isn't something that they take lightly. It's just that they have determined to not let it affect their lives or their overall well being. It isn't something that they have any control over either. There are a multitude of events that will have a worse effect on peoples lives than Everton being relegated, and each individual is different. For me, 6 months ago something happened that affected me infinitely more than any Everton outcome could ever do. I don't think it's a case of resignation or acceptance of the situation. It's more about putting the possibility of relegation into perspective taking into account other things that are going on in their lives. If that makes sense.

Anyway, unlike Jazzy and a few others, I still think that there are 3 more teams worse than us and in a much worse situation, and we will earn enough points between now and the end of the season to stave off relegation. I believe our home form and the Goodison crowd will see us through. It is scary though, as is our financial situation which could bite us heavily on the bum next season with a points deduction.

You have to remember Anj that what you are doing is replacing body fat with muscle, and that muscle is heavier than body fat. So although the pounds are coming off slowly, the inches are coming off more quickly, and that's what really matters. So even if you are only losing 2 or 3 pounds a month, by the time you go on your cruise that adds up to another stone or more. Plus a lot more inches. You'll fit into that new bikini you're going to buy in the summer ;)

And as Sassy would say, pics or we won't believe you. lol

I'm sure there will be plenty more rain this summer to replace the lost water Gwladys. And as somebody who is totally inept at manual tasks and has to get help changing a plug, don't be too hard on your other half. You could have done a lot worse. ;)

Thank you for that .The points deduction I seem to remember that the club had asked about it's spending and been happy but imagine if we did go down and then started with a points deduction for the next season..I accept your comments but worry that the players read these posts and subconciously think that we are happy enough to go down. For me it would be devastating at my age , the prospect of not getting back is unbearable.

Our IT system has crashed so I'm sitting here with nothing to do. On the positive side I have put some washing in, decided what's for tea and walked around the house several times to get some steps in. Forgot to say @jazzy well done on the fundraising. @Terrarian HHope you have a good walk today.
thanks

So what's everyone's thoughts on relegation?

Personally I just can't see us picking up another point between now and the end of the season.
Actually thought we did well yesterday and were undone by individual errors yet again. I woke up during the night and my first thought was Everton and our plight. Football really shouldn’t matter as much as it does to me but it is seriously stressing me now.

I too thought we played quite well although we have the bite of a gummy donkey .Everton is the love of my life ,no more no less .
