I thought Keane was good today. Looked ok on the ball. Cleared some good balls with his head. Even the 2nd goal I think people are being harsh. It was an absolutely fantastic cross into the box and they scored from it. Stop the cross coming in. Don't always blame the man trying his best to at the back post.
I also think Baines lack of confidence in receiving the ball is putting more pressure on Keane. The balance on the left is wrong but I thin
Pickford doesn`t trust him either.

Which means he has one eye on him, waiting for him to cock up, which in turn distracts him or means he`s out of position.

I really don`t get why people are feeling sorry for him.

He may be a " nice lad ", but he`s just another of Koeman and Walsh`s mistakes and either needs time out of the first team to work on his game / rebuild his confidence or punting in January.
He was good yesterday mate. I went to the game and you get to see things differently when your at the match. It is Baines who no one trusts and who refuses to recieve the ball from the goalkeeper. That is unbalancing the team and the left side of the defence. I'm not saying Keane is brilliant all of a sudden but I don't think he put a foot wrong yesterday including the second wolves goal.

Hmm, I think he looked much better with Holgate next to him - someone with some legs to help make up for his lack there of.

Really is last chance saloon for the boy though, poor this season and he's gone.

we haven't signed zouma and mina to not play them, they are both miles ahead of keane, both big and strong, great in the air and both are actually quite rapid

Is that not just the blame Keane mentality though? Should never leave him with two players, the defence as a whole is to blame, not just Keane
Keane had no awareness of where the player who he should have been picking up was.His positional sense is woeful. If we want to equal or improve on last season's position he cannot play.Hopefully a Championship club will offer a loan asap.

If you’ve ever played centre back and you’re left with 2 men to mark from a cross, you’re told to split them.

I’m not a Keane fan, but to blame Keane for being at fault there is either a Keane hater, or someone who’s never played in defence/attack/football before.
Split them,as in leave one totally unmarked to score? Who on earth coached you?

Well that's a joke, we'll improve on last season by actually attacking, simple as. The whole defense was at fault, it's just fans like yourself love to single him out

He's impossible not to, he's mid championship level at best. You can't blame the whole defence when he has no idea where the player he's marking is.Or should we go back to the Allardyce/ Dyche system to give him a chance not to look totally out of his depth?

I don't think you can blame the whole defence for him being turned time after time and left for dead for fun last season, or his positional play which was all over the gaff last season as well, and the amount of times attacking players ran into the space that he should have been covering was ridiculous, or when the defence would push up to play offside, and he would just stand there or be too slow coming out so keeping them onside.

Not true mate.

If you go back to when he first signed, there was a wave of positivity surrounding his signing.

I genuinely can't remember a single poster being against his signing.

He started off well and then slowly got worse, to the point where it was debatable whether he should be getting paid to play football.

He's got to " up " his game measurably and very quickly or he's out of the door.

Silva has shown he doesn't give a flying one about what a player under the previous regime cost.

His time is very quickly running out.

I have a feeling Marco will try Mina, Zouma and Holgate as a 3 as soon as possible, can afford to play a higher line with their pace
we 100% can

Holgate - mina - Zouma

Not so sure about the three at the back, 3-5-2 with Baines/Digne and Coleman as wing backs leaves no room for wingers and we’ve got four good ones now , 3-4-3 maybe I guess with two wingers either side of Tosun but that means some of our best attacking players will be on the bench. I think he’ll pick his best pair, prob Mina and Zouma eventually, Holgate first back up and then Keane and Jags who are prob both gonna be phased out (sold/loaned/given away).

I thought Keane, one dire clearance apart, was really good yesterday.

the second goal had a list of people at fault ....
Coleman
RW cover
Keane
Baines

our leprechaun goalie should have stopped the free kick but he is flavour of the month.

Jags got crucified.

Haters gonna hate etcetera

if Keane continues like he played yesterday, he will keep his place in the first XI
