M.Keane.......useless. Far too many mistakes. How many managers does it take to realise that this guy has been useless. How many mistakes does it take for this guy to be dropped. Would any other club in the PL have this guy on their books. For that matter , would many Championship clubs even have him.

Thought him and Zouma looked good second half of one of Silva’s seasons here. We didn’t sign zouma and lost Gana to PSG that summer. He’s had good, very good and bad spells but this is maybe as bad as it’s been for him here. Any other team he’d have been taken out of the firing line and never got to this stage.
He was also just playing better then, but Zouma covering for his mistakes is what it felt like at times. Like Jags & Distin were back in the day - one complemented the other.

Well, you can't fault his ambition, can you? Just his sense of responsibility and any remote grasp of reality .

I am not a huge fan of him but I know he can defend when the set-up is tweeked for his strengths.

But I think what could help him is more responsibility.
He is a senior player who has plenty of experience but also he seems to be effected by a mental block so having younger centre backs supporting him and giving him the boost to guide his defensive partners through the game.
If he sits as a sweeper with Godfrey and Branthwaite/Holgate in front of him, he can see more of the game which is a strength and allow his partners who are pacey to track overlapping runners.

Keane can also move the ball better so he will have space to take the ball out and forward if needed plus be open for his teammates to play out.
He is very much a confident player but he has take more responsibility himself also.
