2021/22 Michael Keane

The worst 45 minutes of a very poor season for Keane last night.
I'd play Godfrey and branthwaite and have the young players as backup/on the bench - Welch/Hagan/Campbell whoever. I don't think they would let us down - Branthwaite certainly hasnt.

Mina isn't an option sadly, too unreliable fitness wise.

Keane & Holgate should not play again, they helped get us into this mess.

Listen kopite, you worry about your team, and I'll worry about mine.

If take the young lads ahead of Keane and holgate any day - the old guard have consistently failed and let us down, with pathetic performances like last night.

Your veiled attack on lampard is laughable, whilst defending tapastits - we always knew it wasn't just Benitez and these players are dire, the sad thing is he just poured petrol on the dumpster fire, with his tactics and treatment of players.

At least lampard is trying to implement a style and play footballᝲ properly - Benitez is a hoof merchant.

It might also be the managers fault, but it isn't the current managers fault.

Kopite? ?.
Frank is trying to implement a style of play? Might just be me, but that style of play isn’t appropriate for the precarious position we find ourselves in. We should have went down a different route until the end of the season IMO.Lampard couldnt get Chelsea defending well despite all the talent they had, it took a good manager to go in & sort it. That’s my worry.

You have no idea of his health whereas Frank Lampard does.

Do you think Lampard was lying about Keane ?

With Godfrey and Mina both out, Keane may well have played on through sickness and at the expense of his own form in the process.

But of course, you can talk through your arse, calling him a prick and a dog of a player and all while hiding behind your bulletproof keyboard… you wouldn’t say one word of your bile to his or any other players face…

With ‘support’ like yours, is it any wonder we’re in the state we are.

1: Yes i think Lampard was certainly lying about Keane. The bloke is a jellyfish.

I think Lampard took him off as he was shocking. He's then claimed illness to not throw Keane to the Wolves...pointless really, perhaps Keane needs to he thrown to the Wolves.

So many have mollycoddled this man its unreal. Nothing changes.

2: If you think Keane played through adversity then fair enough. I dont think so.

3: You sound like Fabian Delph. I think a lot of people would do a lot more than "ask for a photo" if they met some of these players.

4: So fans shouldnt post their opinions online because it will ruin the club? Is that right?

My stance is now cast in iron. I'm pro Lampard but against these players.

Keane and Coleman being two of them who are always picked. Others like Gomes/Delph/Tosun just happen to not be selected.

It ALL falls on the players at this point. 100%.

Theyre in a bubble.

Hahahaha @AndyC if you’re dishing out a warning for me calling you a clown I hope you’re banning yourself for saying someone else was talking out of their arse?

Oh Michael Keane is rubbish by the way. I typed that on my bulletproof keyboard.

If we go down this season then I think there will be alot of fans calling Keane, Coleman etc alot worse than has been written on this forum.

Its an endless cycle of:

New manager
Act like theyre trying
New contracts for players
At some point give up
Media interviews
Rallying cries
Fans complain
Manager sacked
Act like theyre trying
New contracts for players
Etc etc

Best goal scorer we’ve got…..that volley for Spurs…..

Yeah, It was actually a really good finish. Should've play him as our main striker.
Mistakes happen in football i can take that but it his reaction every time he makes one just falls to pieces no more chances anymore get out of the club

Yes, you're right - it's more of his reaction to his mistakes. His limitation is definitely there - to me, he is a "soft" defender, doesn't duel physically, doesn't dive into tackles etc.. We can argue a lot on how Keane is limited in his abilities, but I think his largest flaw is his attitude. There are tons of defenders in PL has limitation but they don't just give up.

I mean we could see no desire and no fight - and worse is, we can observe that from a distance. Imagine on field how it would affect other players, when you look at your mainstay CB giving up.

For years I never liked Phil Neville as an Everton player. Now I get him.

So, you're saying Everton needed a pragmatic, defensive minded, hoof merchant of a manager to get us out of the situation that a pragmatic, defensive, minded, hoof merchant of a manager put us in?

No ta very much giulem ballbag, been there done that - you go back to your chum tapastits and talk about the good old days destroying Everton, we will be alright with Fronk.

when opponents score against us and you seen Keane's body language and reaction, it the reaction of a man that's conceded a lot of goals and lost a lot of games. his body language reminds me of in junior leagues when you'd beat the whipping boys 15-0 and they'd turn round to kick off and just be like "oh well" with their heads down

Remember he tried to dribble past De Bruyne, Silva, Mahrez and Gundogan last season in the 5-0 game, they just took it off him and slotted within 4 seconds
I remember a brilliant post on Twitter saying. The week before against the worst team in the league ( Sheffield Utd) he’s booting it long all game. Comes up against the best and is trying to take the whole team on

Another one who after his time ends at Everton will come out confirming how he struggled with mental illness and regrets he could not cope with the pressure.
