By contract law, we can’t legally
This and the fact that his current deal expires at the end of June 2025. As a club, we have a duty of care in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
If there are problems relating to his mind set and confidence issues then surely we need to ensure he has ongoing contact with a sport psychologist or other experts in the field . I am sure he will realise that his current form requires improvement and he should be seeking to adress the issues himself as well.

My limited understanding of employment law is that if that type of provision of assistance fails then there may be grounds to consider a termination on the grounds that he is unable to fulfill the terms of his contract.

To be clear, I am not saying this applies but throwing it out for comment from others more knowledgeable.

Oh dear, we need a hit squad.

How does that apply to football though, I mean if I go into work and spend my day sat in the students union getting wrecked with all the students then I am going to get sacked for not doing my job. Same as if when I am issued with work (usually over a 2 week period) if I kept handing it back late I would get sacked for not being able to do my job role. Why are football players repeatedly able to underperform and get away with it?

This is partly the reason for my previous post. My interpretation is that all employment law applies to footballers but we have a situation where it is rarely tested, especially in relation to performance isssues. I realise that much will depend on the terms of any contract but what I was trying to say was that surely EFC cannot be expected to carry on paying a player, who for clear reasons even if, not of the player's making, until 2025 when unfit to play for that period.

He can fight pretty much all of you fat scruffs, neck a much higher class of girl and bench more than your 1RM as a set of ten. For warm up.

Nah he's deffo the kinda guy that buys a table of girls a few bottles of fizz, they say thank you & completely ignore him the rest of the night whilst he stands in the corner smiling thinking his nice guy persona will win.

Well that at least gives us some comfort when he’s moonwalking as Raul Jiminez jogs past him, or just before he slices another into the path of an oncoming wolves striker whilst doing an impression of the Charleston in slow motion.
