2022/23 Michael Keane

It really isn't confusing at all - he just has favourites.

Keane can take a hot dump while he inevitably gives an easy goal away and Dyche will praise the smell.
Same thing happened to Lampard and Gordon, Koeman and Stekelenberg and as much as I dread to remind people but Martinez and Alcaraz. We’re absolutely cursed with managers picking their favourite players for no good reason and having it be a massive detriment to the team.

At least it worked out with Silva and Richarlison as well as of course Carlo and James. They’re actually pairings of good managers and good players though, not exactly shocking that it worked out.

Once again his fault to cost us goals.
The first one, he made wrong decison to move to a wrong place.
The second one, he can’t compete with a 36 years old striker using his speed.
A penalty is because of his stupid handball.
He has involved in 2 goals and 1 big chances.
Can we see it appear on Tarko?
It made me more frustrated Dyche may give him a new contract if we survive.

Nah Martinez and Alcaraz were buddies but Alcaraz barely played for us - 20ish games in 2 years, considering we actually played further ahead in all domestic and Euro tournament(s) is nothing, not a lot of minutes even in those games. He was horrible in just about all of those minutes, but he didn't play every game.

The way you put it makes this even worse btw, as Keane is very, very Alcaraz and Dyche 100% trusts and wants to start him lol

I’ll be honest I think I’ll be permanently scarred by that Europa League game that he threw Alacaraz into for no reason when Stones was in great form when we were basically guaranteed to get through but threw it away.

That was the stuff of nightmares then, Christ what I wouldn’t give for a European embarrassment now though.

Think people associate that game with him but in reality that's one of his few (bizarre) appearances, sadly.

Somehow made Wout Faes look like a decent centre half today.

Probably the worst two CB I’ve seen all season. How Keane keeps his place is beyond me.

Just look at the goals conceded there. When Dyche hasn’t picked Keane, we’ve won 50% of games… with him, 10%, conceding 18.

Compare it to the games without him, 4 goals conceded in 4 (one was the derby). He’s a liability.

Tim Howard was Martinez’s weird fetish.

I'm not even gonna comment on his defending, which is up there with the most embarrassing thing I've seen since Harry Maguire, in fact I'd take Maguire over this cart, but the clear cut chances he has for us at free kicks and corners, he should be burying so many headers, at least then he might wipe the deficit at his own end.

It's not just the clangers that stick out for me, it's the little things like misreading the flight and bounce of the ball, when trying to intercept it. Cooked it at one point tonight, letting Vardy in and put it across, it's the one Pickford snuffed out. But it's stuff like that, that he constantly does that leads to goals, when in all honestly they should be comfortably put into touch or laid off to a close defender.

He is pure [Poor language removed] and he is a major reason we are where we are, because he is a major contributor to chances being afforded to the opposition.
