2022/23 Michael Keane

Thats more an individual player error thing. Im talking more manager. His selection of a player who looks so slow and clumsy. And his in game management calls. Like throwing nobody on. They are poor calls imo.
Lets not forget that at the start of the season even under mike bassett the defence stats were actually quite decent with coady/tarkowski.
It just seems he couldnt wait to shoe horn in keane. The stats since keane has come back in are dreadful.

I'm not here to defend Keane but it's easy to just think the player who isn't playing is so much better. The defence has been iffy all season really, i've seen a lot of things saying about conceding 19 goals in 9 with Keane in there but it's probably worth acknowledging that those figures aren't that different to the 16 we'd conceded in the last 9 games Coady played. I can't stand Keane, i'd gladly never set eyes on him again, but once again I feel like I need to point out that the other options aren't necessarily the massive upgrades people pretend they are.

No. I dont do that and never have. In fact its a gripe of mine. Yeah there was a spell we conceded with coady and tarkowsi but at the start of the season after quite a few games the defence were in the top 6 for goals against. It was about the only good thing we had going.
There is never a spell when michael keane is playing when we dont concede. That was the main point. He's bloody awful individually and as a pair.

Dyche never did any homework at all.

I know Keane has been bad, but surely this can't be right...

Must be a beast in training
They did say he scores screamers all the time in training and probably never makes noticeable mistakes
He might be likeable, who knows, seems boring but easy going(suspiciously so) to me

He’s boss at bleep tests and saying “yes boss” to whatever dyche growls at him, even if he doesn’t understand it.

It’s not like for like but it never is is it? Every games different and it’s not exactly like the midfield have given us an impenetrable shield in recent games is it? Like I said, I have no interest in defending Keane - I never would have brought him back in and would certainly drop him now - I was just commenting on the idea that we’d have won the game with coady in the side instead. It doesn’t seem to be based on a lot other than the grass always being greener. Same with the idea that gray coming on as a sub would have won it. He has 1 goal (a penalty) and 0 assists in his last 11 games, 0 goals and 1 assist (a free kick) in his 10 sub appearances for us, but people want to make out like bringing him on for 15 minutes last night would have been like using a cheat code.

He's just not going to drop him is he. Games often go through my head the next day. And today two things about last night where i think we could have nicked that game. Coady/tarkowski at the back. And gray thrown on in the last 15 minutes when there was space galore to attack.

Keane is in for the duration now as one of his favourites. I think it may relegate the club.

True, Dyche has created the problem by leaving Coady and Mina, who I don’t rate but that is just opinion, on the bench for so long that will both be short of match fitness and there are only four games left, Coady can’t play v Wolves anyway: It still leaves a lot of us with dread at the thought of Keane playing though, maybe he will come up with a goal to equal the ones he scored v Crystal Pal or Spurs and gain us a point or three.

If you can't see that Mina isn'ta better footballer than Keane then you don't understand the game.

I read summat today, can't find the link now though, that says Mina ain't playing cause there is a rumour he has been leaking stuff.
What he has been leaking and to who, who the hell knows?
But could be a reason why he is not getting a look in, na dthis waste of space isnt dropped

I just can't believe he played last night when the main weakness of Keane is players running in the channels and behind him, which is exactly how Leicester play especially with Vardy. Just extremely poor management.

About the only time im not nervous regarding keane is when he's near the opposition goal. Irony of that.
