2024/25 Michael Keane

so frustrating thatDyche probably thinks he scores more than he gives away and will always treat him as his favourite

I always support him cos he's our player but I wish we could sort out his defensive side!

Hopelessy naive and history ignoring shouts for a contract extension in a few spots in the last few days. We absolutely need to go our separate ways next June.

Move on.
Personally don't think it's naive if he was offered an extension on reduced terms. He's a decent 3/4th choice CB and will need 4 CBS next season. With the big squad overhaul coming in the summer it be one less position to have to focus on to recruit in

Some utterly incredible suggestions over the last few pages. The idea that tugboat Keane should continue to start games when Branthwaite regains fitness is mind-boggling... It's as if people have forgotten that Tarkowski and Branthwaite proved themselves as a pair over the course of 30 games last season.

If Keane will accept that he's a 4th choice CB at this club and therefore only deserving of a new contract on a substantially reduced wage, then MAYBE explore that in the summer. Personally I'm hoping some club somewhere is stupid enough to offer 10m for him and we cut our losses.

Amazing that a couple of great goals makes people forget he's an utterly calamity in our defence.

It would be madness. He needs to be released and O’Brien given his chance and promote the best candidate from the reserves/youth.

Look at Keane’s stats over six years. Awful awful player.

He was good in Broadwalk Empire

As a club we should not be giving automatic places to anybody in the team now. We have done it too much in recent times. Keane should start on Saturday because he deserves it. It should now be up to Branthwaite to fight for his place then keep it.

It's a perfect example of how schizophrenic our fanbase is.

A decent goal against a newly promoted side has washed away all his sins and reborn him into peak Maldini.
