Jagielka in his prime was one of the best shot blockers in the league. Always brave enough to put himself in the firing line. I really appreciated that about him

I think Lescott scoring about 50 goals in 2 seasons was largely a reason why they were classed as being so good. Sure they were a solid partnership, but Jagielka has always been a liability with the ball at his feet and isn't particularly dominating in the air for a centre back. I agree they were a good partnership, can't comment on their record as I don't know (but will take your word for it), but he was never top class for me.
