And Jamie Moralee also believes the Burnley defender can be the best centre-back in Europe..

“Obviously there’s a lot of speculation, a lot of interest, in Michael and rightly so,” Moralee told the TalkSport.

“We are hoping that we can get a deal concluded to a new destination maybe by the weekend and the key to it all, for Michael, is he wants to continue to learn and develop.

Quite an indictment of Everton FC if you ask me. Are we a going nowhere club? Contray to many I have always held firm with Keane that he can be a great CB and it would be very bad if we lose him.

Would struggle outside of any team that doesn't camp on the edge of its own box at all times.

I actually think under a manager who has the respect of the players/can organise a defence he will prove to be a good CB for us. He was good under Koeman but since the teams gone gash his confidence has plummeted.

Lets not forget he's had constantly new defensive partners alongside him at RB and CB all season.

Coleman in permanently next to him, a top notch CB and a new LB I think he'll come out fine.

What makes it worse is two comparatively recent youth prospects who moved on (Duffy and Mustafi) are performing reasonably well this season. If only we'd known. That's a lot of money saved. Hindsight huh?

The answer is he is ALWAYS partner to Jagelka and Williams.

What if those two clown shoe, spineless, wornout, finished centre backs got dropped for Holgate (best centreback this season but not hard) or Funes Mori?

The answer - Keane won’t be the joke he has been labelled.

The lad is over-compensating for defenders who shouldn’t be playing at this level be it Williams, Jagelka, Martina or Kenny.

Get Coleman, Baines and Holgate/Funes Mori in then keep it until the end of the season without changing it every single game and just watch us play constantly better.

You cant coach donkeys. You could bring in Guardiola and the result would still be the some. Nobody in that team is premier league standard.

Jagielka has actually been fine this season generally, he just never seems to be available.

I find the overcompensating the reverse though. Why is Martina always funneling in to the centre for example? No OK it could just be because he isn't very good but he seems to be coming inside to cover the CBs all the time.
