WRD saying club is 'really concerned over Keane and mental problems'.

This season is just an all round disaster.
Very weird if true. Always seems upbeat about the club during interviews..

If anything I'd imagine it'd have more to do with his injury.

er....so far he's bought a striker and a winger/striker.

He has and I have no complaints but I would very much like to see him getting a left back now and not selling Keane until we see if we can get him back to his Burnley form. I don't want Fat Sam making too many changes, leave that up to the proper manager in the summer

We have been told that Keane has a nasty injury. At the moment I think we have to accept this.

I wonder about the mental toughness suggestion. He was sold by Utd as a young boy , but instead of falling away he totally built a career for himself in a very short time, winning international caps on the way.
That suggests a confidence and determination to me.

Was thinking this myself. Lots of young lads released from clubs as big as United crumble afterwards.

Coming to Everton can't make you a bad player. We need to get him back to the way he played at Burnley.. Fat Sam is meant to be some sort of defensive guru, let us see him getting these young defenders defending.

What is it against Southampton where he threw the towel in or did he get the foot injury that game?
The game against a poor Southampton team was probably the worst of a very poor season.
We had no plan, no midfield or forward line from what I could see .. our defenders were left totally exposed and it was that game I believe where we saw David Unsworth accept the job was too big for him.

Yeah it was horrendous wasn't it. Really felt sorry for Unsworth at the end of that game.

Mentally weak or mental health issues?

Still doesn’t stop the same old degenerates from sticking the boot right in. I thought this place was supposed to be accepting of mental illness. Not if you’ve cost millions of pounds in transfer fees and wages, we aren’t. Just pull yourself together and cheer up Mike ffs!!! Earn your dough ffs!

To be fair, we dont know if he meant mental health like Lennon, or his mentality - the post could have been more specific.

His injury was meant to be a bit of a horror one so maybe thats affected him. We just dont know but he did go on to say we could be looking to sell due to the issue.

The foot injury was picked up in the Sunderland game and still hadnt healed properly 2 weeks ago. Apparently very similar to james Vaughans horror injury where he severed an artery.
