Seems to be a few conflicting reports, some saying he walked off the accident and was later rushed to hospital complaining of headaches, and others saying he was admitted to hospital conscious then put in a coma, while numerous other reports suggesting he was airlifted from the scene to a hospital already in a comatose state.

Hmm.

I am sure it'll become clear during the course of Monday. Confident he'll pull through.

Skiing is boss, went with school to south of france, proper dangerous though i hit rough ice and fell off the course headfirst, still got a creaky neck.

Why do people go skiing when 85% of the time people say the word 'skiing' it's followed by 'accident'?

Been skiing and snowboarding for 27 years, never had a serious accident. Hurt myself worse playing football. (Touches wood for Feb)

I'll never understand skiing.

Think of it like supporting Everton. There's fewer more beautiful places you can be on earth than standing on top of a snowcovered mountain. Then add speed, excitement, danger, competition, sense of freedom, grace, etc etc...

I'll never understand rich people.

Used to book holidays for me and my mates, if you can be bothered to put the effort in you can prob do it for £5-600pp. Hardly expensive.

Easy to die while skiing like. Just glad he was wearing a helmet (I don't wear one although I should..) - hope he pulls through.

I ski without a helmet, sure has made me re-think.

I always wear a helmet nowadays. As much as I'm pretty a good and safe boarder/skier, you never know what /who might happen to you....

I would love to ski, might visit the ski slope in Manchester to get a feel of it, what would be the best for beginners, skis or snowboards

Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher is still in a medically-induced coma and "fighting for his life" following a skiing accident, doctors have confirmed.
The seven-time Formula 1 champion was skiing off-piste with his son in the French Alps on Sunday morning when the accident occurred.
Doctors at the hospital in Grenoble where he is being treated say he had lesions on his brain and that he remains in a "critical condition".

Move along, nothing to see here.

Very sad. Drives cars at 200mph for his entire life, and could possibly suffer permanent brain damage or die from a stationary object. I always remember how upset he was after Senna died, he was behind him at Imola, you could see the heart break of his hero being taken from him, and ironically something similar has happened to him.

Really hope he pulls through, some driver and sportsman, and despite the bad press towards his driving, comes across as a genuinely nice bloke.
