Always, ALWAYS wear a helmet when I'm going on a proper ride. If I'm just going the shop on my bmx I'll probably just stay on the pavements and do without, but it should be compulsory really.

I'm pleased to hear that because I didn't like the way he behaved in some parts of his F1 career.

I think most F1 drivers lead a very charmed life.

I remember the last race of 2010 in Abu Dhabi when there was small pileup at the start - one car flew over Schumacher's Mercedes and literally came within a few inches of totally decapitating him.

There shouldn't even need to be a debate. Having cycled, skiied and snowboarded for over 25 years I would advise everyone to wear a helmet. And don't think that just because you're only a beginner/slow/staying on piste your safe without one, because there's more risks out there than just the ones you pose to yourself.
