I thoroughly enjoyed that game today, albeit I was disappointed we couldn't finish some of those splendid chances.

One thing which annoyed be though was the commentator on my feed.....he almost had an orgasm every time that Traore fellow was on the ball
Hahahaha. I was calling him Adama Sims (I'm sure someone will get the reference) as I was watching it.

He was also desperate to use his 'commentator curse'

"Gestede first PL goal was V Everton"

"Gaston Ramirez has scored past Everton"

And my personal favourite, as Boro made their 2nd sub

"No Middlesbrough sub has scored this year"

But yeah, he definitely had a score on a Traote goal.

Every player was making bad decisions breaking forward on most attacks. Baines had enough and burst forward and got in a good position but Valencia and co were not on the ball.

The positive is our strongest area, the midfield, is still performing, even if they had a below par game today. As long as we keep everyone fit in the midfield we will be pretty solid until the end of the season.

Everyone is aware of the frailties of our striking options other than Rom and it showed today. Not convinced by Williams and Mori when we play a flat back four either. But Robles is in form, the midfield is strong. But when Rom isn't given enough service or he misses one or two chances we will struggle to edge games like today.

Im not a fan of Mori, Williams will suffer with him next to him. But RFM or Jagielka? RFM.

Tough match and I think you can argue that based on talent, Middlesborough is the best defensive team in the league. One of those games where both teams played a hard nose match and a few bounces just didn't go our way.

My only issue with the match was the subs. I thought both of Valencia and Lennon did nothing (not surprising sue to their lack of playing time and skill level). I would have much rather seen a Gueye for Holgate switch and push the line up. Still not a fan of the back 2. Williams and Mori are not good enough distributors with the ball to make it work out as well as it should.

First time unbeaten in 8 lg games in 3 years...

Bad display today and frustrating that he didn't change it sooner, after probably setting up wrong.

But it happens and we still had the chances
Agree - bit of perspective there. This time last year we'd have been happy to escape a game like that with a point and none conceded. With each game that passes, we're picking up points, and like Chico said, we can add to the single ones by getting the job done at home with wins. Seventh is the least we can expect if we carry on like that.

Anyone a regular at our u23's can say how close pennington is, because i'm sick of rfm and Koeman dosn't seem to fancy Jags. Holegate williams and pennington in a 3 Maybe ???

Robles though

He has been as much a positive as any.
Our attacking play has rightly taken the headlines but he is doing really well and is still relatively very young for a goalkeeper.

Even last week I felt that the defense was to blame for the goals conceded.

He can make the no1 spot his own.

Boro seemed physically stronger than most of our players today ! We were out muscled quite a lot ! we had a good couple of chances tho and Rom and Lookman should have scored ! They didnt have much apart from being stronger than us and good save from Joel at the end is about as close as they got ! That Traore would be dangerous if he could cross or pass ! hes fast strong and can dribble ! but didnt create anything ! if he could catch hed make a great rugby winger !
