Is killing everbody the answer
Sadly I think it is as humans have always killed humans. Pretty rubbish species
sorry sounded like planet of the apes there but still true

It's what drives the killing, fear, paranoia, greed, superiority complexes, you know as well as I do that we have the means to end that, just not the willpower, as long as the information can be controlled to suit an agenda or maintain the status quo

Said It years ago . We are in for a return to the thirties lower workers rights , unsteady economy , a common scapegoat and a rise of the far right over Europe, we never learn .
there will be cival unrest followed by a major war in the next decade its a cert.

Totally agree. Some say we are sleepwalking into it, I think some are running with open arms to embrace it

there still should be enough people whose parents or grandparents lived through that to warn people where we are heading. Corbyn smashed the debate tonight so maybe more will start to stand up and be counted. shame on all the Labour MPs who are buying into the cuts for the sake of their careers.

Like his conviction , and wish there were more like him on both sides, but he will get nowhere. Maybe as a pre runner for somebody else to come in for the election.
To be honest I think its to late to stop ,unless we get charismatic leader with a new clear vision and totally different outlook that ignites the imagination of a broad church of the electorate.
getting out of Europe would be a good start its corrupt out of touch and in the pocket big business

What's Corbyns view on EU membership? Be interesting to know as old Labour was in favour of leaving.

I think he wants to reform it. Which is a deluded point of view since the EU will not be reformed.
Agree with that the gravy train will keep rolling till it crashes. And the longer it takes to fall apart the messier the fallout will be.

What's your basis on the claim that they don't?

And what I mean is that if you don't have a job that you can start the day that you get here, or you don't have money to support yourself while you acquire a job, you should not be moving to the UK (or any country for that matter) for permanent residence. Seriously, this is not hard.

As for the rest, keyword being probably. You like to talk about students. You should know that students can't use the word probably.

Why would you move down to London without having a job lined up? What a stupid decision to make.
Because he was confident he would find one, as it's not as hard as people are making it out to be, but that's not for this thread at all.

I don't like to talk about students, I pretty much know that's a fact, seeing as I've seen the statistic on our national TV, you know, the Bulgarian one, in Bulgaria.

And as someone who seems to think he knows his stuff, you should know that to answer a question with a question is a pretty stupid thing to do.

Political opportunism in a migrant thread.

There's a surprise

Some many issues at stake, some many problems causing it and so many emotions attached to it all. But at the heart of it all now is a humanitarian issue. Britain which threw its doors open in the 1930s to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany now risks being an international pryiah. Collectively though the West has monumentally chuffed up the Middle East. Not so much heard now about Arab Springs is there?! Suddenly the West isn't quite so smug about matters.

Actually we only really helped Jews in the 30s (kindertransport) when it looked like war was inevitable and there was no other option...

Would you deny that the movement of people, be they refugees or migrants, is anything to do with geopolitics?

Responses so far have considered ethnicity, religion and race. Why not politics? The over riding issue is of course one of humanity. Anything else is really a smokescreen.

Oh aye, just look at how they are all lining up to get behind Merkel's idea of quotas - even though it must be obvious even to them that it is utterly unworkable.

Have to pay close attention to the facts though.

The graphs/stats I keep seeing recycled across the likes of Twitter is from 2014.

What about from say, 2010?

It also fails to mention how much aid has been provided by each country...

Per migrant, the support the UK would provide would cost considerably more than most, if not all other countries.

Congratulations, you are now a tory.

I could see it coming a mile off.

Yes. I've seen far too many a do-gooder who makes huge statements but suddenly vanish when it comes to getting their wallet out.

Sounds a bit like mouthing off over match previews that.
