as for the other point, again it's been answered. You want an answer I can't give. No-one can. My opinion is that we are not at breaking point and that any current economic issues that we face are down to economic mismanagement that believes cutting services will somehow lead to growth. I am not aware of a nation that has suffered in terms of the wealth of its people as a result of mass immigration. That is all I can base my opinions on, not the opinions of your friends.

I'm interested to know the source(s) of the information that form(s) the basis your opinions.

Re: the nation that has suffered. If any Norwegians happen to be following this thread perhaps they care to comment on their Government's faux pas when opening the doors to migrants some years ago subsequently closing it when they realised the mistake that they had made.

You, as a refugee, were offended? Or are you being offended for the refugees?

I'll tell you what I found offensive.

I found that when that man threw his wife and baby to the train tracks, that was offensive.

I found that when police came along to a train to offer the refugees food and water, and the refugees threw them away, that was offensive.

I found that when a refugee was interviewed on that very train and he said "we have no food or water and there are pregnant women", thus lying, that was offensive.

As for the rest of your post... what?

Is Australia a racist country because it adopts a rigourous immigration process and has imposed its own 'stop the boats' policy re: regional migrants ?

If Britain choses not to adopt an open arms, all welcome, no questions asked policy to those who elect to call themselves migrants / refugees .. then does that make us a racist country too ?

It's racist because many treat Aborigines as 2nd class citizens, despite the fact it is the Aborigines who are indigenous and they who are immigrants.

My fear with our country is that the more you distinguish between people's and categorise them into being acceptable or unacceptable, the more you normalise prejudice. It encourages people to become racist and it then becomes acceptable in society. It's happening all around us as I type.

Looking back over this entire thread, all you've done is either post saying that someone is wrong, post your opinion, or you say that someone else has said something earlier.

Your posts add literally nothing to this thread. In fact, all you do is harm the conversation by winding people up and repeating the same message. It's why I stopped replying to you earlier.

Why not direct people to something that has already been said? Why not, when you say that someone else is wrong, post a link to something which actually proves your point? It's great to have threads like this from time to time, as it actually allows people to have a good discussion about current events. You're not helping one bit.

Now tell me, from the bottom of your heart and soul, with a straight face, that he truly cares about the well-being of his family.

If you can do that then I have genuine fears for your household because I would never, ever lay a finger on a woman, child or baby under any circumstance, let alone throw them to the ground like a rag doll.
