Who said he didn't want to help. I haven't seen him suggest we let people die. I think and this me speculating, he'd prefer we helped them in their country or neighbouring countries.

Not all of these people are genuine refugees. Many are economic migrants.

It is an immigration matter. Public services are already stretched as is housing. We have just had sky high Immigration figures announced a few days ago. We simply can't allow millions more in.

Because we need to deter them from coming. Accepting them when they turn up on boats sends the wrong message.

One thing I don't understand is why they aren't fleeing to countries like Saudi Arabia, Dubai etc.

Wealthy countries with the same religion, language and similar culture.

I'd guess because Saudi is pretty much a desert, and attempting to cross it on foot would likely prove even more suicidal than going to sea in a dinghy. And the Saudis probably behead more people than ISIS. ISIS themselves also control much of the territory they'd have to cross, as they'd have to go via Iraq or Jordan.

3 million of the 4 million refugees that have left the country are in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan. The neighbouring countries. At least a quarter of the population of Lebanon are refugees.

There are 7 million on top of that internally displaced. It's an absolute catastrophe.

I think these migrants have a worse attitude. Not taking water and food. Throwing rocks at the police. Welding weapons at Calais, threatening people.

If I were in danger and was offered help I would accept it. And I would be grateful.

For absolute fooks ache. Says it all. You have no idea how you would react should you be in their shoes.

Projecting much? I'm not refusing help, just wondering why we have to bring them here as its that much further to go back when this HUMANITARIAN CRISIS is over. They will be going back? Right?

Do you know why that child died? Because they tried to reach Europe.

We need to stop them from making that trip.

Process them in countries near them and then sort out the genuine refugees.

If they are genuinely seeking asylum then they stop in the first safe country, if they are economic migrants then they pay dodgy people to take them across the sea to Greece.
