"For sure he will be a manager," Guardiola told reporters.

"I would like him to stay with us as long as possible. But personal life is personal life, his professional desire is professional.

"He was a holding midfielder, he had incredible vision on the pitch. He’s an incredible human being, he has a great work ethic. I said after a few months of being together that he would be a manager one day.”

Sadly, it looks as though he is going to Arsenal but until he signs for them there is hope.
Cmon Bill, give the Arteta money to Mikel; welcome home!

With this squad and their mindset, and the board for that matter, every manager is a risky appointment right now, I don't see anyone not even Mourinho as someone who is a sure thing for our club.

For that reason, I still like Arteta. am in.

Very fond of the Mikel, but still a no for me as it's a huge punt, who's to say he could command a dressing room without one of the best managers in world football standing behind him?

What this club needs now is more ex-players running the club. It's been such a successful two decades adopting our very own 'boot room' philosophy.
