Would Arteta as our manager be a huge gamble? Yes. But all appointments are gambles...except maybe Pep.
But jeez, with Silva, Moyes and rs Rafael as the choices

we could do worse.
Unless Moshiri and Brands are(finally) working behind the scenes and pop up with a cunning plan.
we may not do any better

If we were comfortable in the league and had time to give him then I dont think many would say no.

Fact is we are 4 points off relegation, a horrid run of fixtures and Arteta is completely unproven. There is no evidence he would be a good manager, or a bad one. He is also on huge wages at City.
If we were comfortable in the league, we wouldn't be talking about a new manager.

Every manager is a gamble. Wasn't Moyes a gamble at the time. With Arteta I'd like him to bring in a very experienced guy with him, the same as others do, aka Brian Kidd, Mike Phelan etc etc.

I wouldn't personally take the Arteta route, but my point is at this time and any time, every manager is a gamble

Arteta would be quite a good move bit I don't think it'll happen for two reasons

A. It's probably too much of a risk for the club to go with another untried manager while were in a difficult position in the table.

B. I doubt he would leave City to come to us.

Smacks of Tim Sherwood at Spurs or Shearer at Newcastle and we all know how that ended, putting an unknown quantity in charge of this lot could be like opening the trapdoor to the championship.

"For sure he will be a manager," Guardiola told reporters.

"I would like him to stay with us as long as possible. But personal life is personal life, his professional desire is professional.

"He was a holding midfielder, he had incredible vision on the pitch. He’s an incredible human being, he has a great work ethic. I said after a few months of being together that he would be a manager one day.”

Sadly, it looks as though he is going to Arsenal but until he signs for them there is hope.
