They are basically getting him based on them trying to know what man city secrets are and hoping they work at Arsenal etc, you can hardly go wrong at man city, still think its a big mistake by them to have him as a boss at a team like Arsenal when hes never been one before myself

Great player but the way he left and conducted himself afterwards against us left a bit of a bad taste.

Not convinced it’s a a good move for Arsenal.

Weird as I really wanted him but at the same time wonder if Arsenal have made a big mistake. There squad has problems, players who want out or having contracts running down, not playing for the short, not convinced he will have the commanding presence they need

Interesting the way Emery the came out and backed him. Spanish players and managers seem to support each other much more - probably explains why they are so much better at the sport!

It’s all words, but he came across as impressive in his first statements.

I wish him all the best, i m from Paris so i knew him first in PSG around 2000, he deserve all my respect.

However, i think he is great tactically because he spent so much time with Guardiola, but not sure he can handle a problem like Arsenal have actually. I mean, during his time in City, he never saw this type of crisis.

He need to be close to his players, create a relationship between him and the players, and this is not the principal quality of Guardiola, who is known to be distant with the squad (humanly)

Anyway, i wish him to lose his first game then to do great, but i am not expecting this.

People have to stop expecting players and managers, especially foreign ones with no allegiance, to show loyalty. Football is a profession and the players are just out to further their careers and maximize their pay packages.

It is easy to get Arsenal back in the top 5-6. Simply have them be more direct with the ball. Their struggles all stemmed from trying to play it out from the back and being too slow with the ball.

Fair point.

They themselves also should expect to get some stick off the fans who idolised them when they kiss the badge of the new club when they score against them, dive around, and do all other kinds of snide, and not whine about it.
