OK, I know I am going to get some MOD grief for posting this but, why keep locking threads when they get a little bit political.

It's a forum ffs and this is the ALE HOUSE, an "Off Topic board where you can discuss whatever you want."

It's worse than bluekipper (shudder) for trigger-happy mods locking threads and threatening posters who dare to get political or mildly contraversial.

In closing the Israel thread, the mods are no better than MOSAD.

That was merely the infraction that tipped him over the edge I'm afraid. He'd received several warnings about his approach to debating and didn't heed any of them.

There was a note by Danny a while back about members that required undue mod attention, and for all Nik's good qualities, at the moment he falls into that camp. Hopefully a spell away from the site will encourage him to think a bit before he types.

He very well have deserved his ban, who am I to judge, I just feel, personally, that his last infraction, was slightly harsh.

It was the Ale House and it was simply a little shout out to Bunds.

But as I said, im not making a big issue here, I just feel that action should have been taken with regards to the smear campaign that was started last week.

He was banned due to infractions, the last of which was given for this post.

To claim I'M somehow to blame for that does two things - it insinuates that I've somehow corrupted the mods, and that Nik did nothing wrong ever.

I've lost track of the amount of times I've said this, but I've got nothing whatsoever against Nik and I take NO pleasure whatsoever in seeing him banned. At all. None.

It's like I'm the only guy in the history of GOT who's noticed that he treads the line of acceptability at times. That's ALL I pointed out. The idea that I told the mods what to do... unbelievable. No offence to the mods but a good half of them bloody hate me and I'm 99% sure I'm on the same "list" that Nik is!!!

In your words, I was personally the one and only person responsible for that ban. In your world, I have this mad vendetta against Nik, I have organised some massive conspiracy, the mods basically did what I told them and I'm currently over the moon with joy about it.

So you're saying the mods are corrupt, I'm a b*stard and Nik is this hard done by saint.
