Minor Conspiracy Theories

The recent Loch Ness Monster one was brilliant: they heard sounds on their devices, ready to share to the world. Oh no, they forgot to put in on record. Ooops.

I have no issue with the people making up this nonsense, but how people believe it is beyond me.
Happens to the best of us. Who hasn't misplaced videos sent by a young one only for the bheour to find them.

What's the conspiracy theorists take on the sudden international race to the moon. Or are they still developing one that allows them to maintain man's never been to space?
It's only more evidence of an International Conspiracy. Rather than two countries lying, and having to make thousands of people complicit, it's now many more.

I've heard the moon doesn't even exist - it's just a big light like on the Truman Show.

The likelihood for the Loch Ness Monster is that is/probably a rare and often not seen Oarfish. It's like a snake with fins and they live in very deep waters (the loch is very deep) they also can grow to about 20ft and are utterly harmless.

You are far too rational and evidence-based. Why not just go with the wholly believable idea that the Deep State has developed a powerful space lazer and, you know...just for kicks, they decided to try it out on a highly lucrative tourist destination. Sure, I'm mean why not. Totally legitimate alternative to wild fires caused by desiccated leaves, high temperatures, and low humidity.
...and plenty of idiots going out and lighting them

Figures vary from one country to another and by the agency responsible. The common factor is that though the percentage of fires deliberately started vary, it’s still a tragic fact that many fires are the work of arsonists. In Italy the agricultural union Coldiretti suggests up to 60% of wildfires are man-made. In Greece Vassilis Kikilias, the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, told a news conference that a total of 667 fires took place. "The majority of them were arsons, either due to criminal negligence or intent," he said, adding: "The difference with other years was the weather conditions."

In Spain Officials in the northern region of Asturias say that unspecified arsonists were behind most of the 100 or so wildfires raging in the heavily wooded and mountainous area. In Portugal approximately 600 people have been placed under investigation over suspicions of deliberately setting fires, police said according to RTP.

RTP found that dozens of probable perpetrators of arson in forests and wasteland had been arrested, while many more are still on the loose. Police statistics show that this year services have already detained 54 arsonists, some of whom have criminal pasts and have served sentences for setting fires in forests.

Edit; the above could maybe classed as 'official conspiracy theories'

Really crazy that some idiots will deliberately start a fire, but as you note it is far more common than not. I recall reading an interesting article on how investigators pieced together evidence to catch a serial arsonist (in California, I think), and if I recall correctly, the arsonist was someone who worked for the Fire Department.

In reality, the likelihood is it's completely made-up and either continued by delusional people or those who love some giggles.

Many companies selling “Pastured or free range Eggs” in grocery stores are adding paprika, chili flakes, and other brightly colored herbs and foods to the hens’ feed in order to keep their yolks consistently orange

So you're implying they're not free-range eggs, or they're free-range eggs and they're changing their diet to help get a specific (consistent) colour of yolk?

That is relatively common in Australia, people join as fire service volunteers because they are obsessed with fire, then start them so they can go and help fight them.
