minor things that make you fume

They quite rightly banned proms this year at my eldest lads junior school, on the grounds that it put unfair pressure on parents to spend a fortune on outfits, hairdos for the girls etc and limo's.

They put on a school leavers disco instead and the kids were totally happy with that.

However some of the stuff that " outraged " parents put on Facebook, beggared belief. It was like the Jeremy Kyle show had been brought to life.

Apparently it's " the right " of an eleven year old to have a prom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Some of them even tried to get a campaign going to get the school to change its mind ( it didn't work ).

Aren't proms an American import ?

What chance have those kids got? It's just a willy waving competition for the parents to show off.

These mums, and it is always the mums are totally mental/stupid.
My daughter is going in to year 3 in September, she's 7 and some of the mums are talking about venues for it, 4 years away.
They're the type who must watch love island and update bookface every time they turn over in bed.
They're bringing their kids up to be hollow, glittery empty heads.
Glad to hear your childs school has put good values and sense first instead of the whims of complete oxygen thieves. I will push for the same common sense approach come the time.
United in common sense we stand brother.

Clueless travel announcers on national radio.

"There is slow traffic and some delays on the M32 into Bristol, because 2 lanes are closed".

Yeah, "some delays".

It only has 2 lanes anyrate. Sake.

Lovely little birds, graceful in flight, like Spitfires jousting the Hun...

Totally incontinent and crap all over the cars, leaving poo that stains the paintwork, the little monsters....

When you take the car in for a new clutch & flywheel, pay £700. Then have to take it back the next day coz it's still knackered and they phone you 30 mins later and say the engine's just seized and will be £2200 for a reconditioned one

Ohh it's such a perfect day...:celebrate:
