Christmas lighting any time after Christmas Day should be switched off.
It's ok in the lead up to the big day, but there is something sad about the things after the event.
Never mind the twelfth night thing, be done with them now.

Yes! Christmas for me is the couple of weeks before - love all the lights and general build up at that stage. But the day itself and everything afterwards is a proper chore. Hate still seeing the lights up well into January - like you say, it creates a sadness after all the festivities.

It's a distraction tactic .... Stabbings in London due to police cutbacks? Look! Shootings in the us.

It gets to me the insufferable month of non stop coverage we have here before an election, but what I really don't get is the TWO YEAR coverage in the run up to what the bleeding yanks decide to vote on.
