minor things that make you fume

I do as well, it’s a great way to track your progress. It’s just so frustrating seeing 10 machines in a row with people staring at their phones.

I try and get in and out as quick as possible, no idea why you’d want to prolong your stay unnecessarily.
The ancient Greeks saw the gymnasium as a space to exercise both body and mind (as well as, ahem, appreciate the naked male form). They would pause and engage in thought provoking discussion and learn from teachers. Perhaps on their phone they're reading Plato or Socrates.

In answer to a straight question this morning, a politician said: "So.........what we're saying is......."
Even at this late hour we still get spin thrown at us.

Why does everyone say "So" before making a remark these days? Who started that?

Slowly unraveling the mess the governing body of the sport you coach has made of youth development because of their total misapplication of disproven decades old academic theories.

How being unfaithful is glorified in the media via Love Island, TOWIE and tripe of that nature. Soaps also do it.

It is more damaging than physical abuse and people who do it are scum.
Coronation St used to be funny. Hilda Ogden and that.

Now they're all having affairs and murdering each other.

Not that I've watched it for years but the wife keeps me posted.

Take him to rugby mate, you and he won’t regret.

Completely different mindset on the sidelines.

There's a lad in work who was moaning about taking his lad to rugby. He was fuming because they've got loads of good players but will give some of the crap players a game or bring them on as subs and it's costing them games. He was especially mad because one kid came on, played crap, got subbed and then spent the rest of the match just playing around on the sidelines with other kids and generally not being arsed.

I asked how old his lad was...11 years old!

Getting mad because 10 or 11 year old kids aren't up to scratch or taking it as seriously as he is.

Last week I had a guy came and repaired part of my fencing. Three new uprights and three new panels. He did a really good job and I told him I would keep his details and contact him if I ever needed any more fencing work done. Last night the strong winds blew another three section down. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Two weeks ago I had a guy come and sort out some repairs to my garden fence. He did a good job. Last week, the gales demolished several other posts and panels, got to have the guy back. More expense!

Hows your memory these days mate?

I think when I eventually have kids I’ll try and get them in to rugby. The respect and inclusive nature of how clubs operate is a different world away from football.

Caldy is a wonderful club if you ever decide to come back.

They always play mixed ability teams with the kids, which leads to them sometimes getting beaten when they shouldn`t really.

It`s a great set up there and if I lived there, the club house would be my local, as it`s like a pub and is glorious to sit outside in the Summer and look over the Dee.

Most rugby union teams want ALL the kids to stay involved for as long as possible, so this means that the less able kids get plenty of games time as well as the more able.

I`ve even seen games where they`ve taken kids off, lessening the numbers, to give the other team more of a fighting chance.

However once they get to about 13, the less able kids tend to drop off, as the game becomes much more physical and infinitely quicker due to lads becoming teenagers and growing into monsters !

I’ve spent a lot of time at Caldy as my mate used to play for their first team. It’s a great club by all accounts, everyone looks out for each other.
