Some parts of the south the lead time is longer than three weeks. Down where I am I basically need to be able to predict in advance when I'm going to be ill and book appointments accordingly. My local GP's practice has seven or eight doctors, and one evening a week one of them has appointments beyond 5pm. No weekend cover at all.
No wonder the local A&E is swamped.

My mates missus is a GP, she works two of her days off per month as an out of hours “ cover “ GP for an agency.
She earns nearly half of what she gets from her NHS monthly salary working those two days off.

My daughter is recently back from a two week holiday in Ethiopia. She did a lot of internal flights while she was there. Was mightily relieved when she arrived back, though she wasn't bothered.

People who park their car in the centre of two houses with driveways. Park just a bit off the driveway, so the person who lives there can get in/out of their driveway, but there is enough room to fit two cars on the street!
