Being e-mailed out of the blue by a company offering a job working in Manchester.

I reply saying thanks, but I don't want to work in Manchester, plus I have other commitments that mean it isn't particularly viable.

Receive a reply that I'm missing out on a huge opportunity and that it's a soft excuse as everyone wants to work in Manchester.

Recruiters - they know what's best for you!

My missus can walk into a dark room and spot a crumb I've dropped and not noticed. Lacking any sense of perspective it can ruin an evening.

No mate. The last thing I want us attention. I'm hiding under a rock for the rest of the day.
