minor things that make you fume

Reminds me of cyclists you get along those family cycle trails in Wales dressed like they’re competing in the Tour de France.

It’s a 2 mile flat trail around a lake Dave, you don’t need the spandex outfit and a £900 mountain bike ffs.

They’re very useful for buying all their gear off them for next to nothing, after they invariably get bored of their latest hobby lol

Blokes (because it is men) laden down with large mountaineering rucksacks, festooned with tin drinking cups, Kendall mint cake, and patches of the world stitched on.

Perfectly kosher if you are about to ascend K2, silly if you are travelling 3 stops on Merseyrail.

It was two years ago and a few of us decided to run up Moel Famau and back for something to do. It a relatively mild Spring morning: 7C ish with breaking sun.

We parked at the end of the path and jumped out in shorts, light jacket and boots, where we were joined by the full on day-tripping hiking brigade, all lined up.

Now, we're all grown men who are relatively fit and experienced at tabbing, so we were set back when they decided to come over and question us...

... ,well lecture us, over our preparations and apparent foolishness. One even said (paraphrased), "You'll only ruin our experience with your stupidity." Aye?

"It's not Snowdon mate, it's a hill that children walk up. Have a bloody nice day." Anyway, off we went up into the low cloud for the run, which is just over six km.

I really can't understand the whole mentality that it's their path and nobody else should be able to enjoy it.

You can even walk up Snowdon in trainers. It gets a bit more difficult towards the top but the Pyg Trail is a doddle.

On a night job near Huntingdon. The fella with the traffic lights has just turned up with no sodding batteries. The useless biff. He’s now going to take two hours sorting that, and it’s just started raining. Listening to Chester v Kings Lynn on radio Norfolk. Annoyed.

People in the gym needlessly slamming their weights on the floor.

Taking 3 different sets of weighted dumbells and then leaving them by their bench.
Then the obligatory look around to see if anyone witnessed such an impressive feat.

I wish gyms would be harsher on people that didn’t put weights back etc. I’d love to go to a gym ran by a clean freak.

Gyms seem to bring out the absolute worst in some people. I'm glad I'm not alone in being frustrated by the often asbo stuff that goes on in them.
