so have enjoyed FIFA video games (con cerveza) for fun. this year's sucked. tons of bugs, issues, clear almost no effort made for offline/single player. Player Carrer mode remains absolutely unplayable.
Final kick in the groin this week.
Guarani, my side down here went to the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores in 2015, playing David to several Goliaths, and were stripped of their best players in the aftermath by larger clubs. They've rebuilt. Had to battle in this year, including knocking off Corinthians of Sao Paulo (again, did it in 2015. this year, the Corinthian's front three combined weekly wage would cover the entirety of Guarani for two months) along the way.
First match played this week, Guarani win, 2-0 and sit (temporarily) atop Group B.
They are not in the FIFA Copa Libertadores game.
Palestino (Chile), the team they defeated in the final qualifying/play-in round are. At a glance, seems about 10 also-rans from countries whose leagues are not in the game (Paraguay, Ecuador, etc) were added as swap-in/swap out options created specifically for the Copa Libertadores tourney. But not a team actually IN the tournament.
So the notion of knocking back watery South American lager and guiding the Aurinegro to glory went about as well as the last minutes of the EFC/Manure match.
At least the PS4 has another 50gb or so of available hard drive real estate.
