When the players at every match do the "taking the knee" bit before kick off, why do all the commentators have to fill that 30 seconds with idle little homilies when really a bit of respectful silence would be more in keeping? Dear BBC website- on my app where I have a section on everton news, I see you have posted an article about the upcoming Derby. Its an Everton home game and Everton are currently top of the table.
Can you please explain why, yet again, the article is flagged with a picture of a Liverpool player?
There is more than 1 club in the league.

While I back the sentiments behind the whole knee thing, I detest it. Pretty soon the players will be on the pitch 2 hours before kick off to shake hands, applaud the mascots, bend the knee, have one, no two, no two's not enough, three minutes silence and a word from our virtue signalling sponsors.

Just shut it and kick a fricking ball ffs. You're paid to do that not be philosophers.
