minor things that make you fume

Several weeks ago, I wrote to Premium Bonds with a question. Today, I received a written reply which provided a load of information - none of which answered my query. However, the letter gave a phone number, so I phoned. Multiple recorded messages which ended by saying that the response time to calls was 10 minutes, as they were so busy. After 10 minutes, I got through to a human being who asked my name. I gave my name and there was silence. Then the guy said 'I can't hear you', so I shouted down the phone. There was silence and then the guy said 'I can't hear anyone on this line, I will have to hang up if I do not get a response'. I shouted even louder, but he hung up. I know it's not my phone as I had just made another call without any problems. I reckon it was their tea break and he didn't want to be disturbed.
I then went on the Premium Bond website to see what I could find out. As requested, I keyed in my name, postcode and Premium Bonds holders number. I got the following message.
'Oops we have a problem please phone the following number .........................' Guess which number it was!

I'm finding this with a lot of companies I deal with that have people working from home. It seems that a load of multi million pound companies can't sort out a decent connection for staff continuing to work from home and they either can't hear me or they sound like some sort of android.

Every company I ring claims to be experiencing a higher level of calls than normal. That's been the case for years. Thinking it's time they understood that the seemingly high number of calls they've been experiencing for ages might actually be normal and they should plan for that.

This.
Plus they have added COVID to this, meaning the wait will be even longer.
I’ve had to phone a few companies lately and that is the go to blurb.

Haha. Reminds me of a boss I had a few years back. He always used to arrive late for work saying ''the traffic was terrible today''.

Being the boss, he could get away with that kind of stuff.

Shaving cuts. Cut is being overly kind to it's brutality.
As I read that, it went through the stupid part of my brain (the biggest part) and i was wondering which government ministry was responsible for this latest austerity measure.

To compound matters, when I clicked on the words 'Shaving cuts' to highlight them in bold, the big part of my brain siezed control and I accidentally erased them instead and had to retype them.
