minor things that make you fume

Literally just heard this on news bulletin.
A seventy year old guy walked into a police station and confessed to him committing a murder 40 odd years ago.
Today been sentenced to spend rest of his life behind bars.
The reason for handing himself in was that he'd rather be locked up in prison than remain homeless and hungry living on the street.
Admire his honesty but I would have sent him packing saying nothing to be gained by his incarceration.

Imagine my fume when in a voluntary role, I deliver food parcels for a food bank and turn up to the property to find nobody in. This with the majority of recipients having been contacted earlier that day reminding them a delivery is imminent.
In their defence something could happen that might require them to go somewhere at short notice. And you do say the majority rather than all.

You'll know more about it than me but aren't a lot of people using foodbanks in work? Could have been a call with a shift available or something similar. Job interview at short notice? Lot of companies making a pretty penny by exploiting desperate employees.

Could have been something worse. People having a hard time of it aren't always making rational decisions.

Not a criticism btw - good on you for the work you're doing and I hope stuff like that doesn't dishearten you too much.

First thing I was told was don't be judgemental. That's hard for an opiniated arse like me but in all honesty having been round the block a few times I accept things aren't always as they seem. People are in work but still require assistance with putting meals on the table. Yes there are a heap of reasons why they aren't in and able to accept their parcels. There are a good few repeat addresses though.
Thanks for the comments anyway.

YouTube taking the piss with adverts. I don't know how much control the content creators have, but three advert breaks within the first 15 minutes of a 40 minute video is ridiculous.
If anyone is arsed the uBlock Origin Firefox extension seems to have completely wiped out YouTube adverts. According to the Reddit nerds it's the best one out there.

If you don't mind, most of us come on here to fume. Not to think well of people.
