Should be illegal to travel with kids, once you've had them they should be kept in a singular location until at least 16.
Have to fly with a 6 month old tomorrow. If I see a couple of lads wearing everton tops with pencil moustaches with ‘Walks 11’ and ‘BLF 69’ on the back I’ll be sure to make sure he gets no sleep at all and will withhold any feeding until landing. Hopefully have a bit turbulence as well. The ever increasing amount of screaming kids have made public spaces extremely unpleasant.
I don't mind if it's done with some wit. Dizzy Rascal or ArrDee. But the heavy stuff no thanks.…..I’ve never liked rap music.
You are not alone brother…..I’ve never liked rap music.
I read somewhere that one-in-three police calls are now mental health related.Bit of a rant here …
In work yesterday afternoon we received a call from one of the young adults we support in the community, he was very distressed and saying he didn’t want to live anymore and the voices in his head were overwhelming and getting stronger telling him to kill himself, I tried to keep him calm and reassured him I would try and get him some help, after a few minutes I told him I’d have to end the call so I could call relevant services for help. Called the local community mental health duty team.. they basically said they can’t help as he’s not a registered patient on their books and advised we call the police… called the police who asked a few questions then said they wouldn’t attend as the person had made no obvious plan to kill himself and suggested we phone an ambulance…. Phoned the ambulance and they asked if we could go out to see him.. I calmly explained that due to staff illness we had nobody available.. that, plus the fact we are a homeless charity not mental health professionals.. eventually the ambulance call handler took some details and said they would ring the person and speak to them… a few minutes later the person the client rang back even more distressed and said the ambulance people had phoned and there advice was that he try and get some sleep and see how he feels tomorrow… the guy said he’s had enough and really can’t cope with the intrusive thoughts and voices getting worse and louder… said he was going to go into the shower and slash his wrists as he wanted to die… I immediately called 999 for the police as this was now an imminent threat to life… their response…’what did the ambulance people say ?” … I said someone had phoned him and told him to try and get some rest…. The police call handler said they’d phone ambulance control and see if they could get back in touch with the client…. All of this took the best part of an hour to try and get emergency response to what could have been a life threatening situation… the outcome ?? The ambulance service didn’t come out to him.. the police didn’t go out to him…. In the end they arranged for a taxi to pick him up and take him to A+E…. Where no doubt he would have a minimum 6 hour wait in a crowded waiting room whilst overwhelmingly distressed … now I don’t really lay blame at the feet of the emergency services but it begs the question .. how far have we actually fallen as a country/society when trying to get emergency or medical assistance is so hard ?
Shocking. There just isn't the funding or manpower to care or support those, any of us, going through hard time. It's always an indicator that we live under a tory regime .... the classic "I'm alright" and "can't they eat cake?" right wing mentality. This is NOT a civilised country in my eyes. It stopped being that in the late 2000s.Bit of a rant here …

We should also rethink, as a society, what are the causes of all this distress. For once try to treat the cause rather than the symptom. There are so many pressures placed on people by the media, economy, expectations, the absolute unquestionable idea that profit trumps all things.I read somewhere that one-in-three police calls are now mental health related.
We need an entire rethink on how we deal with this. I think we need a 4th emergency service.
