They don’t have all the options and there are too many combinations. The one I’ve been in even the staff think it’s daft they have to intervene all the time to sort orders out. May as well just bypass them.

It’s an expensive way of removing hassle that actually adds a huge amount more hassle.

I was at a work conference once and met the guy who started Panera Bread (is that a US only thing? 2,200 locations in USA) anyway they had just done Panera 2.0 and introduced the original order-by-tablet in stores. They did it because customers said they hated waiting in queues to get to the order taker or the cashier. They still have them 10 years later but I rarely see them used as people started ordering through the App on their phones so the tablets became obsolete. Why anyone would do this today is completely beyond me.

Update-
It was scanned in Warrington at 08.21AM on Thursday and in Romford at 10.15AM yesterday.
As of 11.15AM this morning it is again in Warrington

I mean it's nothing important.
(I'm just hoping she hasn't been punctured in transit. )

I ordered some stuff at work earlier this year from a supplier in Brisbane, about 2 weeks later I rang him and said it never turned up, he called me back about 10 minutes later to tell me on the tracker it had gone from Brisbane to Sydney then to Newcastle back to Brisbane and now was currently in Melbourne. I really don't know what goes on in the transport world.
