No shame in losing yer job, mate - It happens to hundreds of thousands of people. Don't be drawn in to the 'Lazy workshy dole scrounger' mantra though. The vast majority of the unemployed are so through zero fault of their own.

Finding out the interview system is crooked where you work.
Had an interview internally to my department twice over 7-8 months and got told i was over answering the questions and i ramble on.
Went to a slightly higher job yesterday, apparently my answers weren't long enough............

I know, and I know like me that the vast majority are actively looking for work, it's just that I feel completely useless. I am putting my name down for voluntary work just to help with that.

I'm sure most of us have been there. It's a sign that the goverment's (subtle) & the mass media's (overbearing) demonization of the unemployed is having an effect when someone like yourself - fresh outta work - labels themselves 'workshy'.
Well in for volunteering* & good luck in finding a new (suitable) job
* I hope you'll get a place with a charity/company who doesn't use 'workfare' or other exploitative Govt scheme. Keep volunteering voluntary
