minor things that make you fume

I'm sure most of us have been there. It's a sign that the goverment's (subtle) & the mass media's (overbearing) demonization of the unemployed is having an effect when someone like yourself - fresh outta work - labels themselves 'workshy'.

Well in for volunteering* & good luck in finding a new (suitable) job ;)

* I hope you'll get a place with a charity/company who doesn't use 'workfare' or other exploitative Govt scheme. Keep volunteering voluntary ;)
Most employers are impressed by voluntary work a great deal.

If you tried that in the gym I go you'd get volleyed out the door. Its the weight bangers (bells who drop weights for effect) who do my swede in!
It's unbelievable. On the upside all the benches have been re-padded.

The thing I hate most about my gym is that barely anyone put their weights back. It's as if they don't do it just to be bell ends.

That and the bunch of black guys who are always like "OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH" when someone does anything remotely interesting.

They were in the good old days. Nowadays, because of these 'work for your dole' schemes which the Govt say are voluntary*, some employers (I stress 'some' but I have anecdotal evidence only) rarely differentiate because so many people have been forced to work in charity shops etc.

It devalues what's voluntary and promotes what's essentially slave labour. Wrong on so many levels.

That makes me fume.

*@rascal - Dunno if you've told JCP/DWP you want to volunteer, but if you have & they find you 'voluntary' work....and you agree to it, but then find that you it's not right for you - They'll say 'tough titty' and you'll be sentenced to it for 30 weeks. Be aware.

Absolutely, I'd only ever want to volunteer for an organisation that is close to the heart and interests me.

The woman I work with who regularly tells me 'I was really good this weekend, I ate lots of salad and only drank water. I didn't have any sweets or anything'.

Then I walk in on her in the canteen stuffing herself with chocolate and cake.

She genuinely can't understand why she isn't losing weight ffs.

Update.

She was telling me before she had nice healthy salmon for dinner last night, so she treated herself to a bowl of ice cream... And a cornetto... And profiteroles for breakfast this morning...

Smh

I've come to the conclusion that the majority of people in this city have no concept of how the double decker bus works.

Those 8 little steps to the left, you do know they lead to more seating, right? Not to a restricted area or another dimension; but to an upstairs seating area with more seats than the lower deck and a better view!

Still most people are either too lazy or stupid to climb the 8 steps and instead cram themselves onto every seat on the lower deck and even stand in the aisles looking annoyed and blocking other passengers from alighting without having to first squeeze past the BO smelling tramps...

Go sit upstairs, you lazy, sweaty looking weapons!

imagine my disgust when i was on my way home from work the other friday and decided to treat myself to some new threads. I dindn't take into consideration my extra 2 stone or x amount of inches i've put on and none of my new shiny threads fit.:rant::rant:

For me, I'll try something on in the shop and it'll look the bizness. Then for some reason, I'll get home, try it on again, and look an absolute dogs breakfast. Back in the bag, back to the shop the next day.

I've got mold OCD when it comes to my desk in work. Just come back from a week off and to my horror I found my 'in' tray was full to the brim, my ethernet cable missing (wtf?) and loads of other stuff out of place.

Pleased to say order has been restored. Everything is back at 90 or 45 degree angle again.

I'm taking it that has nothing to do with mold?
