minor things that make you fume

TV shows ( mainly, as films have a continuity person ) set before now, where some under 40yrs writer puts in something that is totally wrong for the era because it's all they have ever known and therefore it must've always been so...example; uk detective show set in 1966 alluding to breakfast tv. or in writing 1930's politician wondering about 'The fall out' from such and such decision or action.

does me 'kin crust in summat wicked
Yep, it can feel pedantic at times but I don't understand how a producer can feel satisfied with themselves without doing a modicum of research. Some continuity errors you see are so basic, they're unforgivable.

You make plans to meet your friends at a local pub, and despite the small size of the place, the management thought it would be "good" idea to put an 8-piece folk-rock band in the corner. So your options are to either 1) talk over them and look rude, 2) go somewhere else, or 3) sit an listen to painfully over-wrought "gee, ain't we clever" renditions of Springsteen, Clapton, etc.

Option 2, leave every time. Nothing like the lack of paying customers to get the message across quickly to the licensee.

Fat ted (They got that part right - "ted", indeed :dodgy:) robbins getting a tv programme about how he had a coronary on stage.

Who's arsed, you talentless fat plum?

Nobody - that's who. So what if you're mccartney's cousin? Never hear mccartney going round telling anyone who'll listen that you're his cousin, so button it.

Harrumph!

I do a coding club for young kids. Basic stuff, teach them HTML/CSS, understand the basics of Javascript, show them how to set up and configure websites and we do a little bit of baby's first hacking. Easy stuff and some people like it and find it useful and some get the bug.

Lady today said she was withdrawing her kid (who likes the stuff, not mental about it tbf) because she 'couldn't see the point' of coding as it's all done by nerdy computer programmers.

Just so ignorant

The succession of heart breaking adverts for various charities that come on during the evening. Surely to have one on after another just defeats the purpose. You go from war torn refugees, to drought, to elephants etc in the space of three or four ads.

Mobile phone tariff companies stealing data.

I've noticed that if I watch a video on YouTube or just browsing for a while, it will switch over to 4G even though I'm at home connected to wifi.

If you then click settings and see that I am still connected to wifi, the wifi signal will then return.

My old iPhone did the same thing too.

Turn off your Wi-Fi Assist. Settings - Mobile Data - Wi-Fi Assist.
