Little ginger nips has tweeted Virgin to say the staff are on their mobiles. When Virgin responded saying the staff are issued work phones, rusty flaps goes on to say she could see they were on facebook, despite being so far away.

Haha, it's a huge thing to trust at first cruise control.
You dread yours was made on a Friday afternoon by some lad who has started his weekend early, and that out of nowhere your motor will speed up and just not stop.. Next thing your Keanu Reeves in your own speed movie.

I've only ever had once go in a cruise control car, and it's absolutely not for me. Firstly, the fuel economy sucks. Secondly, it (a VW Touran) accelerated at a terrific pace when it fell off the pace going up a hill. Much too fast, leaving me to slam my foot on the brake to take over the control.

I get the point of it but I'll be avoiding it in future.

I wonder though do variable speed limits make things less safe.

It requires 100% compliance to work, and will you event get 100% compliance from humans?

And then everyone is staring at their speedo when they should be concentrating on the road, trying not to go over, because the cameras are 'average' ones.

Then some idiots don't know the concept of 'average speed' and speed past.

They're a nightmare.

Along with BMW drivers, Audi drivers seem to be among the worst. Then for some reason lorries just seem to bomb past me when I'm doing the 50 limit.

I'm curious if the speed prosecution limits are the 10% they say they are. I have only been driving six months, I can't afford points on my license.

I love doing 70 in the right hand lane when overtaking. You can see them fuming through the mirror.

Audi and BMW drivers think 90 is the norm.
